Where hate mongering leads....

....I would imagine if a group of 'Muslim' youths did this Chuckles and his acolytes would be typing so fast the Cheetos dust from their fingers would create a small orange tornado.

Fortunately for him the victims here are an Algerian immigrant and her one year old son. Something tells me the wingnutosphere will pass on this one.

If only it had been committed some French youths in Paris, eh Charles?

An Algerian woman and her one-year-old baby were sexually assaulted in broad daylight in Glasgow in a racially aggravated attack. The 33-year-old woman was pushing her son in his pram through the Yoker area of the city when a group of young men threw stones at them and kicked the woman. One man then exposed himself, indecently assaulted the woman and attempted to perform an indecent act on the one-year-old boy.

The woman, who cannot be identified, had her headscarf torn from her head. She escaped by snatching her son from his pram and running away, leaving behind the pram, headscarf and a baby's bottle.
Racism, bigotry, violence, misogyny and child abuse. All committed by non-Muslims. Nothing to see here, move along.

Nobody - not even LGF - is saying that non-Muslims are incapable of violence, but that's not really your point, is it?

Your point is that LGF concentrates on Islam. Well that's the blogosphere for you. Blogs concetrate on different subject matter. You wouldn't expect a football blog to post stories about Rugby to balance things out. I wouldn't expect you to start going on about the sins of Wonkette.

LGF concentrates on the evil side of Islam. To me this is a good thing. There's a lot of things in the evil side of Islam that should be scrutinised, exposed and slammed.

Islamic supremacism would be an acceptable subject for left wing blogs...if you replace the word "Islamic" with "white". As it is, it is down to LGF to cover it.

LGF covers many subjects that others don't.

The mainstream media shy away from criticism of this. They also won't touch Islam's uniquely barbaric (and doctrinally sanctioned) homophobia, misogyny and medieval punishments.

There's the female circumcision, there's the morphing of Western laws and freedoms to suit the Islamic paradigm.

There's the attempt to wipe out the Jewish traditional homeland (a tiny reservation in the middle of a huge Arab & Muslim continent) and of course there is the terrorism and the global Islamic imperialism that it aims to introduce.

There's also the subject of the hate-filled racist hypocritical wackos that side with the Islamist because of the "common enemy" (Bush & Israel).

None of these would be touched, if it weren't for blogs like LGF.

Want a liberal echo chamber while the world becomes subsumed in 7th century barbarity? Fine. Most of us don't. The left control the broadcast media and many of the newspapers. They can't control the blogs. I guess this pisses you off, but hey - tough!

With the world at war and antisemitism rife, we aren't going to shut up, just to please cowardly sentimentality or tacit sedition.

Live with it. Deal.

I love it when they bring up anti-Semitism as a reason for LGF, as if LGF helps to fight anti-Semitism. If anything LGF would harden anti-Semites view of Jews as the only 'Jewish voice' that is broadcast there is the wacko Zionist one.

If history has taught us anything, it's that Jewhaters will be Jewhaters regardless.

I'd rather be a Jew that stands up to the haters than one that lies down in the mistaken belief that being complient and subservient will save my kosher ass.

If by 'stand up' you mean liquidating the Arab presence in Palestine then you'll fit right in with the LGF crowd. 'Standing up' with the nutjobs on either side will end up in tears.

You might not condone Islamic supremacism, but you have set yourself against the main site that condemns it.

I can understand Muslims being sensitive to criticism of other Muslims. I have seen the numerous sites (far left, far right and Islamist) that attack the Jews.

If I was a moderate Muslim, there would have to be a voice inside me that says "hang on, though...". The fact is that within Islam there is a major problem and it isn't some fringe thing that can be writtten off.

It would be far better if Muslims themselves were loudly and publically rounding on the Koranic literalists, the Islamic imperialists, the choppers, stoners and hangers, the suicide bombers etc. But I don't see that happening. Perhaps ghetto mentality and peer presure prohibits this. Perhaps it's the death threats meted out to brave souls like Wafa Sultan, Irshad Manji, Hirsi Ali et al.

Either way, there's an over-riding point:

It should not be seen as any kind of sin to speak out against an ideology. Any ideology is up for grabs - particularly one that we are at war with or one that chops off limbs for petty crimes and wants to take over the world.

Stopping me, Charles or anyone else criticising this ideology is a leap towards fascism.

Who's stopping anyone? You have every right to say what you want. Just as LGFW has the right to point to the fact that LGF is a site that feeds on hatred and bigotry.

Unlike Charles of course who's regularly tried to get LGFW banned. Who exactly is having their free speech threatened here?

forgive me - i was under the impression that you want to see LGF suppressed or removed from the Net.

The headline of the site is...

'Keeping an eye on those rabid racists at Little Green Footballs'

See the 'keeping an eye' bit? Yes?

That's not the same as 'campaigning to shut it down'. Understand?

anyway - I'm going to have to leave it here. I have to get back to work.

thanks for allowing my comments

Oh bullshit. LGF doesn't "condemn Islamic supremacism". They're shills for the Likud Party and the Bush Administration.

(and note that the term "Islamic supremacism" is merely the neo nazi/stormfront term "Jewish supremacism" with one word changed)

When John Kerry criticized Saudi Arabia during the Democratic National Convention, Johnson attacked him for it.

So please just top it. LGF is a white supremacist hate site. That's it. Period. Full stop.

i hope these people who toss around the "anti-semite" slur one day educate themselves a little more.

Do you LGFers realize that Arabs are a semitic people? That Arabic is a semitic language?

Who's the anti semite? The leftist that says "Israel has committed warcrimes"? Or the LGFer who says "Nuke the Paleosimians", "Nuke Mecca"?

you have a point there anonymous

still you must admit, there is an interesting irony in how anti-semitic lgf is, when you take the world literally.

yeah - it's moronic to think that "antisemitism" means hatred of Jews when the literal meaning is hatred of all semitic people.

It isn't moronic in the least, the term 'anti-Semitism' was coined to describe the oppression and prejudice against Jews. No matter what the word semite covers, the term was originally used simply to describe that.

The term Semite refers broadly to speakers of a language group which includes both Arabs and Jews. However, the term antisemitism is specifically used in reference to attitudes held towards Jews. The word antisemitic (antisemitisch in German) was probably first used in 1860 by the Austrian Jewish scholar Moritz Steinschneider in the phrase "antisemitic prejudices" (German: "antisemitische Vorurteile"). Steinschneider used this phrase to characterize Ernest Renan's ideas about how "Semitic races" were inferior to "Aryan races." These pseudo-scientific theories concerning race, civilization, and "progress" had become quite widespread in Europe in the second half of the 19th century, especially as Prussian nationalistic historian Heinrich von Treitschke did much to promote this form of racism. In Treitschke's writings Semitic was synonymous with Jewish, in contrast to its usage by Renan and others.

German political agitator Wilhelm Marr coined the related German word Antisemitismus in his book "The Way to Victory of Germanicism over Judaism" in 1879. Marr used the phrase to mean hatred of Jews or Judenhass, and he used the new word antisemitism to make hatred of the Jews seem rational and sanctioned by scientific knowledge. Marr's book became very popular, and in the same year he founded the "League of Antisemites" ("Antisemiten-Liga"), the first German organization committed specifically to combatting the alleged threat to Germany posed by the Jews, and advocating their forced removal from the country.

So far as can be ascertained, the word was first widely printed in 1881, when Marr published "Zwanglose Antisemitische Hefte," and Wilhelm Scherer used the term "Antisemiten" in the January issue of "Neue Freie Presse". The related word semitism was coined around 1885. See also the coinage of the term "Palestinian" by Germans to refer to ethnic Jews, as distinct from the religion of Judaism.

bob sinclair, he was being ironic. Thanks for the history lesson, however.
