When you call a shovel a shovel..

Charles Johnson of the highly honourable blog Little Green Footballs could not come to terms with the fact that his website is a safe haven for people who passionately hate Democrats, Liberals, Muslims, Islam, the Middle East, and basically anybody who doesn't agree 103% with their ideology. So naturally he will be surprised when it gets filtered out for "hate and discrimination".

Alright Chuckie, how about you prove your site is NOT about hate, by posting about this article? First of all, it'll show that you're probably not entirely engaging in a smear campaign against the Islamic world, and furthermore it'd be interesting to watch your fans' response, which traditionally aren't really that intelligent. Would they give credit where credit is due, or is the dreaded "h" word what they're going to express? Stay tuned and watch the King Lizard do the right thing!

... or maybe not.

Hating America

The saurian horde seems not to have gotten the memo: An attack on any of us is an attack on all of us.

The "any of us" in this case is the population of Vermont, where a municipally-owned TV cable operator has apparently decided to add al-Jazeera to its cable lineup. This factlet was enthusiastically reported by Charles. An orgy of Vermont-bashing follows, e.g.:

What do you expect from the state that elected Howard Dean? ... vermont is pathetic [...] and al jazeera will fit right in! ... Vermont is #1, nanny-state, ignore-reality, left-wing moonbat land. At what point will my fellow Republicans and Conservatives begin the process of recognizing that there are sane approaches to combating the threat of Islamofascism and Radical Islamic Terrorsts and that acting like a bunch of unstable, paranoid morons is not one of those sane approaches? Nobody on the Right Side of the Political Blogosphere seems to have grasped this yet, but it ain't 2003 anymore: Moderate Republicans and Swing Voters seem to have come to the conclusion that railing against the "Religion of Peace" and pushing perpetual warfare in the Middle East might not be working out... So at some point people like Charles Johnson, Debbuh Schlussel and Pammuh Geller-Oshry need to be shown the door. Unless you're comfortable with eight years of a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress, that is.

Hint: I'm guessing it'd probably be best to start some time before November, 2008.

Actually Dennis, it would be best to start now. Whether it improves the Republican chances in the election is secondary to the overwhelming concern that hate mongers like Chuck, Pammy and Debs are actually being considered the 'voice of the right'.

Apparently, Chazmo Johnson has become bothered of late that Little Green Footballs is widely known as a racist hate site inhabited by the scummiest peabrains on the Internet outside of Stormfront.

Here's what we know about the murderer of at least 32 students and maimer of at least 28 more at Virginia Tech, today:

* The murderer has been identified by law enforcement and media reports as "a young Asian male."

* The Virginia Tech campus has a very large Muslim community, many of which are from Pakistan (per terrorism investigator Bill Warner).

* Pakis are considered "Asian."

* There were 2 attacks at least half a mile apart.

* There have been at least two bomb threats to this campus in the last two weeks.

Is anyone really surprised Debbie Schlussel is the first to connect the VT shootings to Muslims without ANY evidence? Will anyone be surprised when her fellow bigoted travellers pick up on this and announce it as another front in the global jihad? But just in case it turns out not to be a Muslim there's always the get out clause, demonstrated in the same post by Debbie.

Even if it does not turn out that the shooter is Muslim, this is a demonstration to Muslim jihadists all over that it is extremely easy to shoot and kill multiple American college students.

These people are unbelievable.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Virginia Tech University massacre perpetrator, Cho Seung-Hui,

died with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on one of his arms. Hmmm . . .

Ismail--the Arabic name for Ishmael--considered the father of all Arabs and a very important figure in Islam.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right? Doesn't mean anything. Right.

Maybe "Ismail Ax" is the name of a friend of his. Or maybe he wanted to remind himself to buy an Ax for his friend Ismail for next Ramadan. Or I'm sure we'll hear some other similarly absurd "explanation." We'll see.

She's deranged even by LGF standards. PS according to web rumours, which to be fair are as about as reliable as the whole Debbie Schlussel report, 'Ismael Ax' was Cho Seung-Hui's X-Box Live login.

Perhaps there's a link to video game violence, perhaps not.

But we know the only link that will satisfy small minded bigots like Debbie is one to a 'global jihad'. No matter how tenuous or ridiculous.

UPDATE: One minute she's telling us that the shooter is probably a Muslim because of the 'very large Muslim community', the next? She's chastising the Washington Post for using a photograph showing a total of four Muslim students! Even fellow wingnuts must be wishing that she just shut up. It's getting embarrassing.

Fortunately for him the victims here are an Algerian immigrant and her one year old son. Something tells me the wingnutosphere will pass on this one.

If only it had been committed some French youths in Paris, eh Charles?

An Algerian woman and her one-year-old baby were sexually assaulted in broad daylight in Glasgow in a racially aggravated attack. The 33-year-old woman was pushing her son in his pram through the Yoker area of the city when a group of young men threw stones at them and kicked the woman. One man then exposed himself, indecently assaulted the woman and attempted to perform an indecent act on the one-year-old boy.

The woman, who cannot be identified, had her headscarf torn from her head. She escaped by snatching her son from his pram and running away, leaving behind the pram, headscarf and a baby's bottle.

Racism, bigotry, violence, misogyny and child abuse. All committed by non-Muslims. Nothing to see here, move along.

Daily Kos diarist writes an unfunny piece about Matt Drudge alleging that he was found with child prOn. Article is highlighted and deleted.

Little Green Footballs lets its commenters go wild with tasteless remarks about dead activists, murdering journalists, sick jokes about the Hajj stampede. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

In fact the only thing that get's you deleted on LGF is criticising Chuckie or the Bush regime. Oh and making death threats and being rude, but only if they're followed up by phone call from the FBI.
