When faked pictures do not matter either..

Here's some fauxtography that Charles Johnson didn't (and probably will never) report about:

Papers alter Israel cabinet photo

Two ultra-Orthodox Jewish newspapers have altered a photo of Israel's new cabinet, removing two female ministers.

Limor Livnat and Sofa Landver were grouped with the rest of the 30-member cabinet for their inaugural photo.

But Yated Neeman newspaper digitally changed the picture by replacing them with two men. The Shaa Tova newspaper blacked the women out.

Publishing pictures of women is viewed by many ultra-orthodox Jews as a violation of female modesty.

Other Israeli papers reprinted the altered images next to the original photos, with one headlining it "Find the lady".

The ultra-Orthodox community separates itself from mainstream society through its traditional religious practices and distinctive attire of black hats, coats and sidelocks for the men and long skirts and sleeves for the women.

Restrictions include using only Kosher telephones, and not accessing websites with content deemed inappropriate.

For a comparison between real and fake picture, click here. Now imagine for a moment if that had happened in (say) Egypt..

When terrorism doesn't matter

So, an extremist wing of the IRA is back in action by killing soldiers and policemen, and in a matter of hours, two shooting sprees claim several lives, one in Alabama, one in Germany.

What do these incidents have in common? None of them involved any Muslim terrorists. So imagine my surprise, when these stories passed by unreported on Little Green Footballs, Jihad Watch and Atlas Shrieks. Has it become a dogma that only Muslim nutters count, and that armed assaults on children inside schools are insignificant, or why are these veteran terrorist hunters silent? In terms of statistics, in the US and Europe, your kids are less safer in their own school from random maniacs than they are from any attacks by Muslims. So why -pray- should these professional pundits report on them?

Alas, if these people were pressed into mentioning it, Charles Johnson would quote the news site, along with a snarky prediction that the Euroweenies will clamp down on guns even further, Robert Spencer would feverishly explain that the young German murderer is not of Muslim background, and thus cannot by any standard be called a real terrorist, and Pamela (Shrieking Harpy) Geller.. Well, she would dig up a conspiracy theory on how young Tim Kretschmer came in contact with a Turkish pupil in his school, whose father knew somebody whose cousin back in Turkey listened to a sermon by a radical Imam condemning the West, and thus "proving" how this horrible incident is clear proof of creeping Jihad that will turn all trees gray and cause all our hair to drop out.

God forbid there were one Mahmoud included in these stories, in which case there would've been reports from said deskchair fighters all day long.

Video Killed The Blogging Star

Could this be the most hypocritical piece of crap ever recorded and put out on the internet?

What next?

Perhaps a chat with Debbie Schlussel discussing bigotry and racism?

Edited interviews for me, and not for thee

Link: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/31245_ABC_News_Hid_Important_Parts_of_Palin_Interview

Old Chuckles is having a few problems with the recent TV interview with Sarah Palin:

ABC News Hid Important Parts of Palin Interview

It won’t come as a surprise to LGF readers, but Charlie Gibson’s interview with Sarah Palin was heavily edited by ABC News to make Palin appear more hawkish and less knowledgeable. Mark Levin has the complete transcript, and what ABC News tried to pull here is a textbook example of media malfeasance: Gibson Interview.

Also see: ABC News Edited Out Key Parts of Sarah Palin Interview.

The interview was so egregiously biased, even UPI is calling out ABC News for their blatant double standards: ABC’s Gibson grilled Palin hard, but it may backfire.

(..)

Fair enough, however, it does come as a surprise that Charlie should complain.. After all, the source on media in the Middle East he relies on the most does that kind of stuff quite a lot of times..

//UPDATE: Not only does he entirely trust this bogus and sad excuse of a media outlet, he also urges his little green army to give them money: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/31314_MEMRI_Needs_You

Avoiding news when they sting

Hamas does the right thing and arrests three people for firing rockets into Israel, in accordance to the recent truce.

Immediate and full coverage followed on Little Green Footballs..

.. not. So far not even a peep. Could it be because such bits of news are inconvenient to the old reptile's agenda? Or is it because he just can't figure out how one could possibly twist the story around to make Hamas look bad again?

Charles Johnson:

Our Friends the Saudis

Saudi Arabia announced today that they have arrested 520 people for terrorism. Of course, when they use the word “terrorism” it could mean almost anything, from mass murder to publishing cartoons.

"RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has detained 520 people suspected of being involved in terrorism, state television reported on Wednesday."

BBC News on the same story:

Saudi Arabia is holding 520 suspected militants following raids across the kingdom this year, its interior ministry says.

They are accused of links to what it called the "deviant group" - a term used for al-Qaeda by Saudi officials.

They said the accused were of various nationalities and had been plotting attacks in and outside Saudi Arabia.

You decide..

People who live in glass houses..

The evidence of Charles "Mr. morally correct" Johnson's hypocrisy is growing by the minute, as shown here:

"Speaking of President Bush’s sword dance with the Saudis, here’s the Iranian reaction, from Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, Chairman of the Iranian Guardian Council. (Courtesy of MEMRI TV.)

Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati: Death to those who participated in the Annapolis Summit, and who got rewarded for this. Their mouths were stitched up, so that they could not speak out anymore. You really deserve death for being so despicable, and for wanting to please Bush, America, and Israel, rather than pleasing God, the Prophet, the Muslims, the oppressed, and the wretched.

[...]

That insignificant man [Bush] visits Islamic countries, while all these crimes are taking place. He travels from country to country, and you are handing him a sword – a sword with which you should be chopping off his head.
Religion of peace!

Alright then, the old reptile can complain about this as much as he likes. But say, what have his own faithful minions been saying about this incident when it happened?

And last but not least, a lizard's wet dream:

Charming bunch you're herding there, Charles, and now tell me your fans are advocates of peace, will you?

Charles Johnson, Hypocrisy Defined

Thanks to alert reader "anonymous" for reminder about Johnson's "stalker" post earlier this year.

UPDATE:
Frequent commenter "timur" congratulates Pamela Geller on her website (no link for her):

Where are the suicide bombers when you really need them? One well placed Moslem with a bomb vest could have taken out Sheehan and the whole moonbat colony. A golden opportunity missed!

The Charles Johnson Style Guide

Charles has been driven into a self-righteous frenzy (again) at the failure of the MSM to identify Muslims as "Muslims" even before all the facts are in.

Well, OK then. Let's see what one current news item would look like if the media chucked out their AP Style Guides and replaced them with the LGF version:

Immigrant murdered in Tennessee

Ramses Iskander, a Muslim, was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Metro Police said he was helping out a friend when he was shot and killed in Nashville.

"It was very depressing. I was very sad and I started realizing life is so short that we never know when it's the end coming," Iskander's presumably non-Muslim co-worker Armando Rodriguez said.

Iskandar, 66, was a Muslim immigrant from Egypt, which receives $2 billion in U.S. foreign aid per year.

He was shot in the parking lot of the Wynstone Apartments on Millwood Drive Feb. 8. At 11:30 p.m. friends said he had just finished giving another co-worker, religion unknown, a ride home.

"He's a Muslim of Egyptian descent, so we don't know if he really understood what they were saying. He began yelling and shots were fired, and it turned out he was shot multiple times," Brad Putnam, probably a Christian, with the Metro Police Department said.
But this still lacks that certain Johnsonian je ne sais quoi.

If Charles Johnson were ever to feature this story on his blog, which of course he never will, the LGF Style Guide™ would require him to add a heavy sprinkling of lurid adjectives and irrelevant clauses and "scare quotes," all cunningly conceived to foster the impression that all Muslims are very, very bad people.

Something like this:
RoP Struck in Tennessee; Victim's Immigrant "Friend" Whines, Seethes
A Muslim immigrant in Tennessee is sitting in front of a big pile of rotten raisins tonight, after he was allegedly "murdered" while giving a "friend" -- probably a meteorite-worshiping, wife-beating, Jew-hating jihadi -- a ride in his car:
He began yelling and shots were fired, and it turned out he was shot multiple times," Brad Putnam with the Metro Police Department said.
Any guesses what this obviously deranged jihad wannabe was yelling?
And as long as we're going to treat the unveiling of every individual's private religious convictions as a matter of national security: what exactly is Charles' religion, anyway? Now that he's being quoted in publications far and wide, the world has a right to know!

A bias that wasn't there

Just how Chuckles can think he can get away with this headline is beyond belief!

"Reuters: US Troops Are Fat Drunks"
The actual headline as Charles provides below his ridiculous one is,

"Pentagon survey says troops fatter, drinking more".

See the key word in there? Yep, that's the one, "Pentagon". The Pentagon are saying that US troops (who voluntarily contributed to a government sourced survey) are fatter and drink more. Quite how Reuters are spinning this one is beyond me. Surely there were better examples of Chuckles fabled "MSM bias" today?

If Charles finds it so upsetting that Reuters are reporting that US troops are getting fatter and drinking more maybe he should have a word with the Pentagon and ask them nicely to stop funding these surveys.
