What gets Charles going

CJ ends a post about alleged 'medical experiments' on Gitmo prisoners with the comment: "Expect serious derangement. This should be great." (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11937).

It is telling, isn't it, that Charlie focuses on how much fun he's going to have with this story, rather than its possible veracity. Torture and medical experiments? Who cares, as long as it gives the lizards something to snigger about. Kind of a Rush Limbaugh mentality, dontcha think?

LGF Hilarity

Recent headline on LGF: "Nazis Legal Again in Germany" - referring to the fact that a court in Germany allowed a Neonazi demonstration to go ahead (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11922). Funny, I always thought such displays of idiocy had always been allowed in the good old USofA, protected by the First Amendment.

Open Democracy

A little foray onto the website of online journal openDemocracy: “Tear down that wall!”, an outspoken article about Israel's Apartheid-style 'defence barrier', and The Lizard - banned in Iran - no, it's not about LGF but about a new Iranian film we're gagging to see.

Rich Dick's Fabulous War=Money Machine

Here's a story you won't read on LGF: the truth behind Halliburton's massive profits from America's wars.

Palestinian Corruption

A sickening story of how some senior Palestinian officials are selling discounted cement to Israel, which then uses it to build the Wall, while publicly denouncing the barrier.

Palestinians will never achieve just peace with leaders like this.

Lizard brood idiocy

[yes, we're having a posting bonanza today ;-) ]

Once in a while, just to remind yourself of the level of conversation that passes for discussion on LGF, you need to read the comments section. Here you will find all manner of ranting and raving, swearing and spitting; but very little else. Should anyone but attempt to engage the Lizard King's scaly minions s/he will quickly find that they're not interested in showing their most intelligent side (should there even be one). No, before you can say LoonyLizardLilliputians Zulubaby, 'Nam Grunt and Co will open their orifices and cease only when you've left the little dears alone to wallow in their self-satisfied muck.

Charles Johnson: our soldiers are too stupid to 'understand' Fahrenheit 9/11

In a classic example of LGF arrogance, Charlie J has decided that Michael Moore's film Fahrenheit 9/11 is 'free speech gone too far' because some serving soldiers, on watching the film, became angry or depressed. Why did they become angry or depressed? Because they realised they and their comrades had been fighting for nothing but a lie. And that realisation is a BAD thing - according to CJ, who would rather not have 'simple' soldiers come to such 'simple' conclusions (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11872).

9/11 breaks cinema records

The previous record for a feature-length documentary was Bowling for Columbine.

We got spam!

Wow! Not a week since we set up an email address (lgfwatch@gmail.com) specially for YOU to communicate with US, and already all kinds of loonies are filling our inbox with rubbish.

There's fingernail extensions, free holidays in Texas, donations from the Vatican...and someone who can't make his mind up whether he's called 'Rightwatch' or 'Leftwatch' sending us insightful emails full of stuff like "Do you have mold growing between your toes?" and "Why do you hate my best friend Charles so much?".

In the spam filter they all go :-)

Free Speech? Not in Vegas

Small-time rent-a-musician Charles F Johnson has spoken out against singer Linda Ronstadt, saying she deserved to be insulted and injured after a performance at a Las Vegas hotel where she was booed off stage and ejected from the building for voicing her political opinions (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11782).

Said Johnson: "This country is fighting for freedom around the world, but not for the freedom of Linda Ronstadt to say she supports Michael Moore. I say she should be sent to Abu Ghraib. Or let the US military deal with her the way they deal with Iraqi wedding singers."

Comments: Experiment over

Boys and Girls, Ladies and Gentlemen,

LGFWatch announces the closure of its comments section. Comments were activated as an experiment, to see whether it would be possible to have productive discussions about the topics raised on LGFWatch. Sadly, such discussions rarely took place. No sooner had the comments section been opened then LGF readers swarmed in and pumped their bile. We didn't moderate the comments, nor require registration, nor ban users. Obviously this was too much freedom for Charles' cronies, as the descended into crude name-calling, racist commentary, anti-semitism and death threats.

From now on, the only way to get in touch with LGFwatch is by using our brand new Gmail address: lgfwatch@gmail.com.

Trackbacks will be allowed for the time being.

The plunder of America

Writing on the 'Axis of Logic' website, Manuel Valenzuela exposes the useful idiot thinking of those who support the war in Iraq, and argues that it never was a war for freedom but a war of plunder, in which the American people were plundered so that big business could go and plunder Iraq.

US soldiers raped Iraqi prisoners?

"Young male prisoners were filmed being sodomised by American soldiers at the Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad, according to the journalist who first revealed the abuses there" (Independent)

Of course, Hersh could be making it all up. Somehow, though, he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to press the self-destruct button on his own career...

Israel planning Arafat's burial

"Israel has drawn up contingency plans to prevent hundreds of thousands of Palestinians trying to bury Yasser Arafat at the disputed holy sites of Jerusalem when he dies." (independent)

Sites? So Israel already knows he's going to be blown to bits? Have they got a missile with his name on it primed yet? Sounds like premeditated murder.

LGF: Feeding Off the Dead

In his latest act of blatant hypcrisy, Charles F Johnson accuses film-maker Michael Moore of being a 'ghoul' for showing something no American was supposed to see: the funeral of a US soldier killed after being sent by Bush to invade Iraq (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11725_Michael_Moore-_Feeding_Off_the_Dead).

Let's see, how many dead people has CJ used for his little propaganda operation?

Rachel Corrie (Charles' all-time favourite corpse)
Ivailo Kepov, Georgy Lazov, Kim Sun-iland other foreigners killed in Iraq
3,000 victims of 9/11 (always good to rally the troops)
...hey, even ol' Ronnie gets refloated by Charles. Way to go, Charles 'ghoul' Johnson.

BNP parrots LGF

In the documentary [Secret Agent], footage recorded at a meeting in Keighley shows BNP leader Mr Griffin saying it was important to stand up and act for the party or "they (Muslims) will do for someone in your family".

"For saying that, I tell you, I will get seven years if I said that outside."

He calls Islam a "wicked, vicious faith" that "has expanded through a handful of cranky lunatics" and "is now sweeping country after country".

Another member, Stewart Williams, says he wants to "blow up" Bradford's mosques with a rocket launcher. (BBC News Online)

If the BNP had made those kinds of comments on Charles Johnson's LGF they would have received a warm welcome, not widespread condemnation...

Doubts surround LGF 'reporting'

Charlie 'who is a man' Johnson posted an item about a horrific anti-Semitic attack on the Paris Metro last week und the headline "France anti-semitism watch" (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11670_French_Antisemitism_Watch). Commenting on the French interior minister's pronouncement that the attack was "all the more serious because it was marked by racism and anti-Semitism", CJ said: "Duh".
Now it turns out that this attack might not have taken place after all. Doubtlessly we will find out more soon. Meanwhile, one wonders whether Mr J would have mentioned the attack if it hadn't had the whiff of anti-Semitism. Probably not. Like a good media lap-dog, he simply picks up whatever the press throw at him without question, provided it looks like another opportunity to bash the French.

Do as I say, don't do as I do

Charlie J slams Europe for belatedly reacting to the Darfur crisis (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11675_Herr_Fischer_Demands). Charles, exactly how many Sudanese are US aid agencies helping to emigrate to America? Some examples please

'The Real Enemy Staring Us in the Face'

Bob Herbert of the New York Times on why attacking Iraq was wrong: "A government with even a nodding acquaintance with competence and good sense would have launched an all-out war against Al Qaeda, not Iraq, in the immediate aftermath of Sept. 11. After all, it was Al Qaeda, not Iraq, that carried out the sneak attack on American soil that destroyed the World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon and killed 3,000 people."

LGF: double standards 'R' us

Charles Johnson is angry. Why? Because someone has described LGF as a 'cesspool' and him as a 'racist'. This, according to Charles, just isn't on. We need more "civility" in the blogosphere (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=11622_Ignoring_the_Beams_in_Their_Eyes). This is the same Charles Johnson who regularly delights in the murder of women and children, believes Arabs to be subhuman and would like to see the world cleansed of Muslims - or at least of everyone who doesn't agree with him. Double standards?

Come on Charles, for once be honest and admit you don't give a fuck about civility!
