You can't claim Muslims are acting irrationally by being upset that someone had the audacity to do something that truly offended them, for the sake of being offensive in some of the cartoons, while bitching and moaning to the Washington Post and calling for the firing of Tom Toles for printing a cartoon that offended him and some of the JCoS (Joint Chiefs of Staff). It's not the offensiveness of the cartoons, it's the hypocrisy.

Yes you can.
Maybe it's just me, but it certainly seems that calling for boycotts, demanding firings, and generally being a pain in the ass are all perfectly acceptable and much different from burning things down and calling for bloody retribution.
I don't think it's all that complicated a distinction to make.
