Think! Progress!

While LGFers snipe at the anti-War rally in Washington from the safety of their California bedrooms, at least one person on the other side of the country has got the right idea about how to start taking this mess forward.

(hat tip HP)

If you bother to read HP regularly you'll find that it's a world away from the doctrinaire idiocy of LGF.

Oh please. There's no balance between sides here.

There were over 50,000 anti-war protesters and 10 or so creepy authoritarian cultists from FreeRepublic.

There about relevent as the Klan. And trying to strike up a balance between the dirtbags who talk about hanging "traitors" like Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn is a bit like trying to strike up balance between the American Nazi party and a civil rights march.

Harry or whatever that wankers name is drank the civility kool aid. Brainwashed jackass.

You're missing the point: the soldier was trying to speak to the anti-war crowd as someone who can see a reason for staying in Iraq. They listened to him. That's dialogue.

No. I'm not. Sparlings a long time dirtbag who's been making up stories for a long time.

Good summary here.

I feel bad for the guy for losing his leg. But I'm not going to let it influence me into thinking killing 600,000 Iraqis was a reasonable thing.

He and his little cult are wrong. The majority of the American think they're wrong. And these far right wing assholes are really beside the point. The point now is convincing establishment assholes like Nancy Pelosi and Hillary to act on what we voted them to do back in November.

Here's some more on Joshua Sparling.

As for the spitting incident described at the very end, it may well have happened. But I would very much bet it did not happen the way it's described. The veteran involved, Joshua Sparling, was an invited guest to last year's State of the Union address (and was singled out for praise therefor by members of the right-wing website FreeRepublic), is alleged by Michelle Malkin to have received a death threat while in the hospital, and has appeared with Sean Hannity. In other words, he's very likely a Republican Party operative in the mold of John O'Neill of "Swift Boat" infamy and the NYT (or at least Ian Urbina and/or his editors) is very careful to avoid telling us about his past.

Roger L. Simon is on their blogroll.

QED.

Now it's guilt by linkage, eh? What next? Water dunking and stake burning?

"Roger L. Simon is on their blogroll."

So is the excellent Pickled Politics, Normblog and until a recent spat the always funny Drink Soaked Trots for War.

Linking to someone on a blogroll means nothing.

Maybe. The fact that they endorse a cretin like Roger L. Simon is the icing on the cake of their warmongering creepiness.

It's funny that an unscholarly, mostly-closed community of American Bush-loving, anti-muslim warmongers are worthy of a watch site, but a pseudo-scholarly British anti-muslim warmongering blog which defends Bush and Blair at every turn is worthy of a news feed.

Your average LGF reader would love it there, if they could understand it.

Have you even read the accounts at the Code Pink rally (follow the links provided) about Sparling's behavior. He was acting like an agressive asshole, an obvious provocateur, the enitre time. The MSM stories are about as close to being complete fabrications as you can get.

Yeah, like that'll actually happen.

Prepare yourself to be disappointed because they will choose image over integrity.
