Gaza Greenhouses

PG points us to an interesting blog post, which suggests the pictures of Israeli greenhouses in Gaza that Charles likes to show on LGF may not be all he claims.

Girlieman: LGF Publishes Fake Before and After Photos

again....wow.

~~~~
Joe posted some fake pictures yesterday...
It was stated that they found a drug lab in a house of some drug dealers...
he posted of inside the room of the drug lab...but the original picture was of a room up the street!!!
Those drug dealers are painted so badly by Joe's propaganda....
(I hope you see the logic of this post)
Terrorists DID use greenhouses for smuggling, It does not terribly bother me if the greenhouse of the original picture was 3 miles away - the POINT is even if they used the sasme greenhouse....it would look EXACTLY THE SAME and is not the equivalent to photoshopping photos to alter the very point of the picture....
Get it?
Terrorists DID use greenhouses for smuggling,
Terrorists also lock entire populations into big 20 mile long 4 mile wide concentration camps.
So really, put things into perspective. I'm sure the Nazis thought the Warsaw getto uprising was a terrorist act as well.
Fewer and fewer people are buying your act, even in the United States. But hey, if you and Chuckie Johnson want to make your heads explode by hating on Muslims all day and all night long instead of you know getting laid, making money, drinking, doing all the things normal people do, be my guest.
The rest of us will have a good laugh about it.
Funny how the Killian memos and Bush going AWOL don't get that same logic treatment by the Liztards, yodaking.
Yodaking, neither you nor Charles know anything about the greenhouse
in the second picture. You don't know when or where the picture was taken. Many greenhouses were stripped by Israelis before leaving Gaza, and other greenhouses have been destroyed by the IDF. You don't even know whether the greenhouse in the second picture was one left behind by Israelis or Palestinian owned.
Charles put the two pictures together to lead the reader to believe that there was some connection between the two pictures. The only connection was that they illustrated a pre-existing prejudice in Charles' mind.
Charles loves posting links to polls which he thinks illustrate how depraved Muslim populations are in their support for terror.
Let's see how he responds to this poll which turns that view on its head.
I'm an atheist and don't have much use for any religion. But my own anecotal sense of who's really more guilty here doesn't favor the Israelis.
In spite of all the nonsense pushed about the liberalism of the average Israeli, have you ever actually met one?
Jesus Fucking Christ. Every Israeli I've ever met personally (which admittedly isn't a lot) has been a verbally abusive redneck.
A lot of Israelis make Americans look sophisticated and open minded and it makes sense because even the worst American redneck lives in a country that's theoretically dedicated to the idea that "all men are created equal". Israel, on the other hand, is an openly racist, openly discriminatory society.
On the other hand, in spite of the demonization, most Iranians I meet are extraoardinary open minded and usually pretty well-educated. Once again, admittedly, I'm not meeting a good cross section in the United States. The class Ahmadinejad is playing up to when he goes off on his silly rants about Israel and the United States doesn't travel. We don't meet them.
But the truth is Israeli propaganda isn't very good. It's repetative and crude. It's useless unless its preaching to the converted or just overwhelming the opposition by its sheer volume.
One day these apologists for apartheid are going to wake up and find that Americans aren't really listening to them anymore, that they've never tried to develop their line into anything resembling a coherent argument because they've never had to.
The demonization is Islam is already tedious beyond belief. Chuckie needs a new act. But hey, now that the Bush adminstration is funneling money to the Salafists in Lebanon, maybe he can get on the Saudi payroll and start shilling for them.
Interesting question and response in a PBS Frontline interview with Hinderaker from the Powerline blog:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/newswar/interviews/hinderaker.html
Frontline: Karl Rove commented about blogs: "There is so much ugliness and viciousness and fundamental untruth that the blogosphere transmits. It's a vehicle for ugly rumors, scurrilous personal attacks, an avenue for the creation of urban legends which are deeply corrosive of the political system and people's faith in it."
Hinderaker: ... People need to exercise some common sense and apply it, apply some critical thinking to what they read. That's true whether it's The New York Times or whether you're watching CBS News or whether you're reading a Web site. Unfortunately there are some sites where you have the lowest common denominator that prevails, and people are drawn to the sites simply because there's a lot of irrationality; there's a lot of hate. People who are likeminded in that respect can gather there and reinforce one another's prejudices and nutty ideas.
common sense, but one might apply that quote just as easily to Powerline, HotAir, or LGF as to their hated dailyKOS, Digg, or whatever else steams 'lizards'
Lame. Charles was simply illustrating how the greenhouses were used "before" and how there were used "after." That much is obvious to anyone with a brain (i.e. anyone who isn't a liberal). Stop fabricating outrage and get some real material.
You actually think "liberal" is an insult? What are you 12? Do you even know what liberal means?
Real simple question, the Killian memos were fake...does that change the point of the story?
second simply question, what's the visual difference between a photo of one greenhouse versus one 3 miles down the street?
(since people here are dense) you can answer the second question by looking at the "After" photo and compare it with the 'fake' "Before" photo....
LOL
GirlieMan said Many greenhouses were stripped by Israelis before leaving Gaza, and other greenhouses have been destroyed by the IDF. You don't even know whether the greenhouse in the second picture was one left behind by Israelis or Palestinian owned.
uh...the second photo was from the IDF, and yes it was a greenhouse left behind.
But hey, if you want to ignore that the Palestinians can't control terrorists within their midst...that's you're perfect right.
A lot of people have asked me before...where is an example of racism on "liberal" boards? in fact...I've not only answered this, but have shown examples on this very board.
Here kids, is yet ANOTHER example of BLATENT antisemetism.
"In spite of all the nonsense pushed about the liberalism of the average Israeli, have you ever actually met one?
"
So the point of this poster was that Jews are verbally abusive "rednecks" and Iranians are sophisticated and open minded.
Suprisingly, I would agree with the poster halfway - Iranians are sophiscated and open minded, the only problem is they are stifled by the very guy that this poster mentioned (the regime of Ahmidijad) and at the very same time doesn't even realize that his thesis is defeated as soon as he metiones Ahmidinjad's regime.
hahaha...do you see now why conservatives view liberals as foolish?
Remember, liberals view conservatives as evil (with evil motives) conservatives know that liberals mean well, they are just ignorant.
yeah, it's funny how the kids here don't understand that if even if it was a picture of a different greenhouse, it doesn't change the validity of the story, nor does it change it's point. The picture (actual greenhouse or not) would look EXACTLY THE SAME as the actual greenhouse.
These kids are comparing it to photos where the modification of them changes the WHOLE POINT of the story (i.e. fake memos, fake damage, fake weapons, etc)
funny these kids huh?
Not Jews, Israelis. There's actually quite a big difference between American Jews (who have to interact with other races and religions on a regular basis) and *some* Israelis, who don't. But another ironic thing. Before the creation of Israel, American Jews gave us Normam Mailer and Lionel Trilling. Now they give us "Israpundit".
Remember, liberals view conservatives as evil (with evil motives) conservatives know that liberals mean well, they are just ignorant.
Funny. I never identified myself as a "liberal". I merely labeled pro-Israeli propaganda as crude and repetative. But this would be blitheringly stupid even if I were. I'm assuming Rush or Hannity or someone repeats it a lot on the radio and you're just repeating him. You're just proving my point. Do you think this crude generalization would work on people who have any level of critical thought and skepticism?
Suprisingly, I would agree with the poster halfway - Iranians are sophiscated and open minded, the only problem is they are stifled by the very guy that this poster mentioned (the regime of Ahmidijad) and at the very same time doesn't even realize that his thesis is defeated as soon as he metiones Ahmidinjad's regime.
This really makes no sense, seriously. I can't even rebut it because I'm not sure what it means. But I was merely making a personal observation. As an American, I was brought up to think that Israelis are all liberal, humane, intellectual. It was a shock when I actually started meeting them and a lot of them turned out to be these crude, vulger racists shoveling propaganda I could see coming from 10 miles away. If someone's anticipating your arguments 5 minutes before you make them, you need to read a book or two. On the other hand, as an American, I was also taught that Iranians are fanatics and monsters. It turns out they're nothing of the sort. It's all about expectations.
