Lost in the ethersphere

As Charles dwells on serious terror incidents he's missing news about how Muslims are infiltrating Jewish schools and banlieue youths clash with 'locals' in Spain. Is CJ losing his touch?

I don't get it. The first story is pro-Jewish (illustrates how a Jewish school is tolerant of Muslims) - and the second story is about gangs.

What do these stories have to do with your thesis that Charles is racist?

Funny how you never hear of Jewish kids in Muslim schools though, isn't it?

I can't work out whether it's because Muslim schools teach hatred of Jews, or because Jews are more focused on bombing Muslim schools.

Question. Are the number of terrorist incidents against Israel the same as terrorist incidents against Muslims by Jews?

Plus your second story illustrated self policing of a incident 5 years old) - if only the Palestinians could control terrorists (they can't even keep the peace within their own society)

Does that include the hundreds of cluster bombs placed in Lebanon after the Israeli retreat?

Oh, you mean the war started by Hezbollah? The war where terrorists would hide and wage war in civillian areas? The war where Hezbollah would indiscrimitately fire at civillian cities with Katushya rockets?

Of course there would be cluster bomb munitions left over...that's what happens when you decide to launch terrorists attacks from the middle of a civilian cities in Lebanon.

Oh you mean the cluster munitions the Israelis denied using on civilian centres? The war that Israel left approx. 100,000 unexploded bomblets around? The war where 90% of cluster bombs were dropped in the 72 hours before the end of hostilities that Israel knew was coming? The war where even the US State Dept. had an investigation into Israels misuse of US sourced cluster munitions?

Hezbollah may well have instigated hostilities but they're not the one's paying for that action are they? Well not unless you consider all civilians who get killed or maimed finding these Israeli present Hezbollah.

PS The US placed restrictions on the use of cluster munitions in the 1980's, many western countries have banned them because of their indiscriminate nature. Why is Israel different?

PPS The UN's mine disposal agency says about 40% of the cluster bombs fired or dropped by Israel failed to detonate.

Of course they would be dropped in civilian areas - that's where Hezbollah decides to wage their war. If you decide to compromise rules of engagement and purposely stage attacks from the middle of a city - what do you expect?

The war that Israel left approx. 100,000 unexploded bomblets around?

Yup, and there were a lot of unexploded ordinance left over in German cities too after WW2. But that must mean Nazi Germany held the moral high ground?

The war where 90% of cluster bombs were dropped in the 72 hours before the end of hostilities that Israel knew was coming?

I would try to kill as many terrorists myself - no matter what time frame.

The war where even the US State Dept. had an investigation into Israels misuse of US sourced cluster munitions?

Nope, it's the people that tolerate their presence in their country - and allow them to stage attacks from their soveriegn territory.

Well not unless you consider all civilians who get killed or maimed finding these Israeli present Hezbollah.

That's what I would expect if we allow a military force to attack Canada from say New York and not do anything about it.

PS The US placed restrictions on the use of cluster munitions in the 1980's, many western countries have banned them because of their indiscriminate nature. Why is Israel different?

Let me throw you a bone, yeah - I think the Cluster Munitions should not have been used - but I place blame ultimately on Hezbollah - you on the other hand ultimately place blame on Israel.

...but the Israelis lied about using them on civilian centres didn't they? Which was the question you failed to answer.

That point is about as pathetic as you can get. How low does somebody have to sink to draw parralels between the bombing of European cities in WW2 with the use of cluster munitions against Lebanese civilians?

I would try to kill as many terrorists myself - no matter what time frame.

The cluster munitions dropped in the last 72 hours of the conflict had very little chance of 'killing terrorists' as they had already withdrawn. The chances are that that they either killed civilians as they fell from the sky or killed them as they tripped over them a couple of weeks later.

Nope, it's the people that tolerate their presence in their country - and allow them to stage attacks from their soveriegn territory.

The same people the right-wing chickenhawks were lauding during the Cedar Revolution thingy? As for the Lebanese allowing them, how many kids who were killed or maimed 'allowed' Hezbollah? How many of the sick and infirm who died 'allowed' Hezbollah?

That's what I would expect if we allow a military force to attack Canada from say New York and not do anything about it.

But that's not the argument is it? Would we drop thousands of cluster munitions on Canadian cities and hope we hit the bad guys? Almost certainly not. So why does Israel get the free pass for it?

Let me throw you a bone, yeah - I think the Cluster Munitions should not have been used - but I place blame ultimately on Hezbollah - you on the other hand ultimately place blame on Israel.

Yes I put the blame on Israel. They bought the munitions, they fired the things and they accepted the outcome of their detonation. Quite how Hezbollah are guilty of the Israeli use of these munitions is beyond me. They can be blamed for provoking the argument but how the hell can they be blamed for the munitions used, especially whent those munitions are so inadequate at doing the job.

I failed to answer you question? Did you not read my last post? I said I believed they should not be used - but I ultimately place blame on Hezbollah for waging war in civilian areas. As for Isralis lying - Shimon Perez has already stated they were used in civilan areas and should not have been used.

What's low about it? Do you not feel Hezbollah is not as wicked as the Nazis? Especially when they wage war purposely in civilian areas to use them as human shields?

You said->The cluster munitions dropped in the last 72 hours of the conflict had very little chance of 'killing terrorists' as they had already withdrawn. Wow, you know the troop movements and locations of Hezbollah? You must be part of CIA? Mossad? Or maybe something else...?

The same people the right-wing chickenhawks were lauding during the Cedar Revolution thingy? As for the Lebanese allowing them, how many kids who were killed or maimed 'allowed' Hezbollah? How many of the sick and infirm who died 'allowed' Hezbollah?

Of course conservatives praise Lebanese people that oppose Hamas and Hezbollah - unfortunately - they didn't oppose them strong enough - they still allowed them to wage war in the middle of their cities using civilians as human shields.

But that's not the argument is it? Would we drop thousands of cluster munitions on Canadian cities and hope we hit the bad guys? Almost certainly not. So why does Israel get the free pass for it?

I would defenitely support it if Canada staged attacks from the middle of Toronto - that's why they are called terrorists.

You said->Yes I put the blame on Israel. They bought the munitions, they fired the things and they accepted the outcome of their detonation.

Yes, I know you do - you cannot morally distinguish between Israel attacking Hezbollah terrorists using cities as sheilds to Hezbollah "freedom fighters" correct?

You said->Quite how Hezbollah are guilty of the Israeli use of these munitions is beyond me.

Because when you wage war intentially from populated civilian areas - you are culpable of the results.

They can be blamed for provoking the argument but how the hell can they be blamed for the munitions used, especially whent those munitions are so inadequate at doing the job.

However, again - let me throw you a bone - as I said in my previous post, and in the beginning of this post - you're right - the cluster bombs should not have been used - however war is never neat, clean, or free of mistakes. However, see the forest not the tree.

Here is an exercise.

You want Israel not to use cluster bombs in the future in Lebanon?

Do you think you a change needs to occur in Israel or Hezbollah? (put your thinking cap on)
