Global Warming Fun

The lizard army is chuckling its collective arse off at the conclusion of the overwhelming majority of scientists and ecologists saying that global warming is indeed a human-made problem that'll have a large impact on our future.

Now regardless whether you believe in global warming or not, it should strike you as odd that in this recent thread, (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/32234_Obamas_Science_Leaders) one of the prime arguments in the comment section against global warming, despite the fact that it's freaking winter, must've been the instant classic: "Oh look, it's snowing outside. Global warming is bunk". If I didn't know better, I'd look around my apartment, observe the lack of other humans, and conclude that I'm one of a kind, if I were to follow this tragic line of trashy logic.

Then the lizard tyrant shot himself in the foot with his latest post:

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/32235_The_Great_Global_Warming_Swindle_Debate

The three YouTube videos in that thread should cause your jaw to involuntarily hit the floor or your head to bang repeatedly against the next wall for the sheer dishonesty displayed by Martin Durkin, producer of the documentary "The great global warming swindle" and representative of polemics the lizards are so vehemently clinging to. The part where he gets to defend his own film is literally anywhere between funny and torturous.

Go ahead and watch them if you're feeling adventurous, and give yourself a laugh or two at a group of people not even capable of noticing how excruciatingly bad this man performs, proven by the lack of comments questioning Chuckles' reason for finding this sad excuse of a skeptic - of all people - to present to the world, a scenario oddly reminiscent of their ongoing drooling at a certain female vice president candidate who boasted on how geographic location is a main credential for foreign policy experience.

The weirdest thing about LGF is that they adamantly believe in evolution and are against the teaching of intelligent design in school yet they
just as adamantly disagree with human caused global warming. I don't understand how they can take to heart the overwhelming scientific acceptance of evolution while not embracing the same consensus regarding global warming. Nobody on that site seems to have any deep understanding of either issue. The cognitive dissonance just makes them seem extra loony.

Hi Sphinx,
I think the reason Charles posted that interview with the maker of "The Great Global Warming Swindle" was to show him in a bad light. While it's true that the vast majority of the lizards are AGW deniers, Charles himself along with two of his more left-leaning toadies (Killgore Trout and Thanos) seem to be tilting in the other direction.

Charles dismissed Sen. James Inhofe and some AGW denier websites as fundamentalists and young earth creationists, along with having ties to Pat Robertson and the Discovery Institute, and therefore untrustworthy. He also made a cryptic comment in one of those two threads saying "This space intentionally left blank", as if he's not quite ready to admit that he's an AGW believer in the face of overwhelming opposition from most of the lizard army.

This reminds me of the way he started his opposition to the Vlaams Belang, Ron Paul, Bobby Jindal, Christian creationists, etc. At first tentatively so his chief lackeys would get the message, and then with more and more vehemence as the new consensus began to take hold, and finally with utter certitude and outright banning for all those who still dared to dissent.

It's hard to predict exactly how this is going to turn out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually comes out as a staunch AGW believer, and most of the lizards now scoffing at global warming will either change their tune or face banishment. I'm telling you man, this is all part of Charles' return to his leftist roots. Again, it looks like you guys at LGF Watch were right all along and Charles was wrong, so don't forget to rub it in!

The freek snow events are geographically widespread which sugest they are systemic. If it only happend in Vegas, perhaps, but also in Berkeley, Seattle, New Orleans, New England, Ohio, South America, Siberia, the UK...

And just denying that the cooling is happening is only going to work for a few years before the Themes freezes...

Meanwhile, Chuckles is throwing a hissy-fit because some tiny little site stole his sacred Lizard Lounge Logo. He is shocked, SHOCKED!!! I tell you, to see intellectual property (which he didn't actually create himself) being stolen. All that AP content and all those videos are irrelevant and immaterial.

I think Charles is simply casting about for an issue with which he might galvanize his dwindling readership. And I doubt very much that he will deviate from the standard conservative line on this issue, which is to characterize most of current climate-change science as being somehow "faith-based."

Assuming he does actually take that stand, it would at least have the virtue of being consistent with his opposition to creationism.

Look, to be honest, a lot of equally ill-informed people on the other side of the debate have grasped at any local upward fluctuation in temperature as "evidence" of global warming. Last winter, I was at some relatives' house when a hummingbird was spotted outside the window. You wouldn't believe how many people present declared it to be a sign of the coming climatological inferno.

I feel the same way about Charles' hostility towards scientists who investigate racial differences.
