Awww

Did the nasty man say mean things about poor widdle Charlie?

Charles' indignant reaction to Edroso's capsule description of LGF, which -- for the record -- consists largely of quotes from Charles himself, which is a nice echo of Charles' own M.O., would be amusing if it weren't so pathetic. For someone like Charles Johnson, who has built what would appear to be a highly lucrative career around the idea that all Muslims and non-Republicans are evil and stupid, to shriek like a copulating Tasmanian devil when himself accused of being evil and stupid (in a 60/40 ratio, which sounds about right) is the very epitome of chutzpah.

Your assignment, boys and girls, should you choose to accept it: find instances of Charles explicitly calling another blogger evil and/or stupid.

The bigger idiot is the guy hinduzionkafir.

Shouldn't you go back to burning missionaries and attacking Christians and burning their churches in eastern India?

Yes Hinduzionkafir. Learn about Islam before you open your mouth and appear stupid.

Best regards, the site's local Muslim.

LOL. Does dumb and insane count?

Of course, at the time, I was a member of his peanut gallery, but I somehow managed to acquire both labels within a span of 24 hrs. Given the fact that I had gained the upper hand in the debate, I considered it as a sort of mini victory and a badge of honor, actually, as I had always remained above hurling these kinds of schoolyard insults at anyone on his blog.

I do find it kind of interesting that part of CJ's response to this VV "hit piece" was a thread highlighting the amount of traffic incoming from it, as if it is indicative of....something. Is he saying that LGF is so notorious that only 100 something people needed to curiously click the link? Or, is he implying that only a 100 people decided to roll the dice on the possibility of being redirected to the IDF site? Praising the VV readership on their ability to copy/paste a URL? Or is it just mocking VV for a lack of traffic? I'm not really sure.

Later with not much effort, I achieve the second task.

And screenshot.

Not technically "bloggers", but close nevertheless. This thread was even covered here at LGF Watch.

New journalism alert on LGF:

AP Story on Bilal Hussein Fails to Mention Amnesty Deal

Read the link of AP article, and you will see that AP talked about the amnesty deal, and even in the quote from the article he posted, say this:

"But an Iraqi judicial panel this month dismissed all proceedings against Hussein and ordered his release."

Charles, dismissing proceedings does not mean dismissing charges.

All these recent new journalism from CJ makes me wonder does CJ do little of his homework? does he read all the articles he bash on? and lastly what does he do during most of the day if he does not do his homework well? playing WoW?

There is something genuinely disturbing about sites like lgf and jihadwatch and the hordes who congregate there. Rational critiques of Islam and other cultures is all too welcomed by me--but people like Charles Johnson and Robert Spencer seem to be encouraging something nastier--blind hatred of anything and anyone Muslim. They sit back and smile as their hordes proceed to dehumanize all Muslims and compare them to Orcs (I swear the person who made this comment at lfg proceeded to lament the fact that such a sentiment would be considered racist.)

I once engaged with Robert Spencer about the disturbingly comments on his website, about how the people who comment on his blog frequently refer to Muslims as "Mohammedans."
He said I was wrong to suggest that he approved of those things as he clearly put up a disclaimer saying he didn't necessarily agree with what was said in his comments section. I then asked him why he simply didn't have comment moderation given the frequency with which these nasty and vile comments seem to be appearing. You know what he said? "Why don't YOU let me know when something disturbing is uttered! I will erase it!" What a disingenuous man. Given how quick he is to respond to comments he clearly reads them all and CHOOSES to let "Mohammedan" be a common term for Muslims on his turf.

You are doing good work with this blog and I hope you keep it up.

The LGF brains-trust's response to the killing of the Reuters cameraman has to be seen to be believed. Mind you, I don't believe it. It looks more like a Palestinian psy-ops unit cracked their LGF log-ins and posted bizarre conspiracy theories that make the 9/11 troofers look the model of sanity.

Chucky doesn't usually criticize anyone explicity. He dog-whistles and sits back as his goose-stepping lizardoid minions say what's on his mind. Those who don't drink the Kool-Aid get banned.

Come over to Nodrogsgreatesthits@blogspot.com, for a long and depressing litany of LGF bad behavior.

Mixed in with my excellent ripostes, by the way. They make it all worthwhile.

I'm pretty certain it's this. It seems to be a common tactic of his--mention the traffic of any place that criticizes him.

Of course, many people who read the VV piece just laughed at that article and didn't feel a need to go look at LGF itself, but Chuckie wouldn't like that assessment...that people are both laughing at him AND don't consider him important enough to visit. The horror, the horror!

Wow. You sure done real good there, Socrates. That'll sure larn us lefty morons real good about tu quoque arguments and ad hominem attacks.

Cos calling us 'lefty morons' (and opening your very first comment by saying 'you are an idiot' ) is a clear sign that you eschew such attacks in your own devastatingly brilliant arguments, right?

Yeah. Pot, kettle. Etc.

Hint: when I call you a racist idiot right now, I'm not engaging in an ad hominem attack. I'm making a true statement that describes you, based on what you wrote here.

Thanks for playing.

So, a publishing outfit with a history reckoned in the decades and a staff of writers and editors gets roughly 50-70% more traffic than a lone blogger doing his own thing in his corner of the Internet? Yeah, I guess you made your point...

Not to be a blog pimp or anything, but Sphinx and I have spent some time chronicling Charles' pre-Obama war against any bloggers involved in the "Center for Vigilant Freedom" (CVF) and their "Brussels Counter-Jihad Summit" of late last summer. There are just too many instances to count, really, though mainly he was calling people Nazis...

"Atlas Shrugs", Gates of Vienna, 1389, and definitely Stormfront (I think that was the name). It's just hard to check the links as they're now garbled.

Hindu--we do know about Islam. Quite a bit. Certainly Sphinx, as he is a Muslim. Fast! Run away! Muslim here! AHHHHH!!!!

Lex said...

New Yorker--he could have begun with "Hey, Leftards!". Now that's one you've got to love. HA!

Abe, I seriously recommend the drunken video of Robert Spencer to everyone here, as they seem to know of him as well. Shot by Pamela/Atlas Shrugs after some "Free Speech (for anti-Muslim bloggers)" conference. Seriously, this is pure gold. Spencer discussing cheerfully drunk what he'd do if he were PRESIDENT.

Ibn Warraq makes a cameo.

Oh, and here from yesterday, Belien Smears Dissident Frogman.
