Obama Derangement Syndrome

We note with some interest that the tag "Obama Derangement Syndrome" is now appended to several recent posts over at LGF.

Why this tag only appeared recently, rather than -- oh, let's say, about eighteen months ago -- is still unknown.

Looks like Charles shot your fox .... what you gonna do now?

Anonymous, contrary to your belief, we do have lives that we get along by outside of the web, and are not dependent on this blog for a pastime.

Personally, I'd prefer Charles to become sensible and "put us out of business", than him constantly emitting idiocy and us having to call him out on it every freaking time.

Why the hell do you even bother "watching" that liberal quack Johnson? He's a left-of-center guy, always was. And a milquetoast one at that.

He dedicates most his time to spanking it to glenn beck and pam geller, flipping out over creationists, ripping tea party and townhall protesters, and christ, the guy defended Van Jones recently. He posts more open threads and music threads than islam threads now.

Charles has put you out of business. No one goes to a blog dedicated to watching a blog that the "watch blog" agrees with 85% of the time.

You're irrelevant.

You need to find someone else to watch I guess. Someone that doesn't agree with you on most things.

The fact that this blog exists is comical.

The fact that Chuckie has done a 360 is comical, this blog exists as a constant reminder that no matter what his position is now...he fed the anti-Islam morons that infest blogs now...

Perhaps hating Muslims 24/7 doesn't pay as well as it used to.

I always had my suspicians that Johnson was working for some PR outfit like the Rendon Group.

But I also think that a lot of rabidly pro-Israel American Jews (Johnson's audience, not Johnson himself) got a clue when McCain's first choice for VP (the repulsive but well-qualified Lieberman) was nixed for the batty Sarah Palin simply because Lieberman was a Jew and Palin was a Christian.

Johnson's target audience simply decided that Clinton/Obama and some half-ass lame peace process led by George Mitchell was less of a threat than a virulently right-wing anti-semitic minority of Ron Paul fans and Birchers.

I'm glad they finally woke up but liberals they're not. They're still neocons (liberal and secular on domestic issues but rabid hawks on foreign policy).

Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were never dumb enough to believe in all that Xtian bullshit. But they were dumb enough to believe they could control it. Joke was on them.

He's probably just realized that being Muslim does not mean anything bad at all and that Islam is far from a threat to world peace.

He's probably also realized that in the years following 9/11 his irrational hatred of all things Muslim got him close to other irrational haters who were... less than respectable in a number of more ways than just their irrational hatred of Islam (hatred of Jews, etc).

So now with the benefit of hindisght Johnson perhaps sees himself as what was one of those crazy people - after all, what's the differnece between harbouring hate against Muslims because they rae Muslim or harbouring hate against Jews because they're Jewish.

Is there a reason you are referring to Muslims and Islam in a post about Johnson and Obama Derangement Syndrome?

What's wrong with being left-wing and being anti-Islam, or are you guys religious types?

Neo-cons advocate a liberal interventionist foreign policy, just like Clinton. Johnson is a liberal through and through. Obama is basically his ideal presidency, since he gets liberal domestic policies and still gets his pet wars.

Johnson's target audience simply decided that Clinton/Obama and some half-ass lame peace process led by George Mitchell was less of a threat than a virulently right-wing anti-semitic minority of Ron Paul fans and Birchers.

If that's the conclusion they came to I'd say they're delusional and paranoid.

For those of you wanting to "watch" a truly dangerous blog now, I would suggest www.gatesofviennawatch.blogspot.com. A truly evil bunch, without any redeeming qualities, at Gates of Vienna. Insanity on both sides of the Atlantic.

I've noticed the same thing. LGF has turned into a liberal site. They have literally become a KOS clone. Take this article from a year ago and read some of the more popular comments:
t strikes me that Obama and the people he has around him running his campaign are remincent of Mussolini and his ilk.

community organizer = Marxist thug

From the lowly ACORN grew the mighty OAK.*

+++++++++++++++
*OAK: Obituary for Amerikkkan Kapitalism.

And that's just from comments 1-20. Today, LGF has this, denigrating those comparing Obama in a negative light. He picks out the worst of the worst and acts as if these were all that were at the rally. Here are some of the higher rated comments:

I think Charles has done an excellent job showing that thes signs were not the minority. I did a bit of research myself and this type of behavior was evident throughout the rally.

Except in this case, the fringe was organizing the event.

The whole tea party thing has smelled iffy from the start. I'm glad I gave it a wide berth.

Well. To say there's no difference between neoconservatives and liberals is a bit like saying there's no difference between Counterpunch and the American Conservative.

Sure neocons and liberals share some views on foreign policy and both are secular and pro-choice.

And Alexander Cockburn at Counterpunch is a global warming denier who hates Democrats, gives his site over to anti-semitic race baiters like Paul Craig Roberts (who's written articles praising Pincohet's coup) and compares Al Gore to Goebels.

So that must make him Glenn Beck, right?

because he needs money; he would sell out anyone, do tricks, turn tricks, etc. for some green

In Cockburn's specific case? Yeah, it would. All hard lefties like him eventually molt into Glibertarians who Love Big Gillespie.

I occasionally read that website and notice his absent of Islam hatred. He, rightfully or wrongfully, was a big time Islamophobe. Now he completly changed his tuned but is still intolerant. It's actaully rather funny reading the wacko commenters. They are almost as bad as Daily Kos or DU. He's big into group think and does not like commenters posting things he does not enjoy. What a crazy wingnut.
