Comments on the Palestinian Student Picture

Well, one thing Charles cannot do or re-link to IDF sites are screen captures of his very own followers. The comments are so full of hatred for the Palestinians that they are hard to stomach. And these are people who claim to be "defending our civilization" and on occasion noting their devotion to human rights? Sorry Lizards, you just keep hitting the target.

Despite claims that they do not hate Muslims, are not racist or bigoted, the comments show (as usual) the truth of LGF and of Charles, who lets them all stand. Aiding and abetting as always his Lizards in their spreading of hatred, as exemplified by the above comments as well as a few here:

I bet young Mohammed would spell perfectly if only some Jews died in the process...

As to the answer, it is no different than if your school remained open; that is, if you continue to cling to a hate-filled dogma, which teaches that freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength, and that the best you can do with your life is your death.

That answer is, "nowhere."

AMEN IN FACT MY GRAND PARENTS DID NOT EVEN COME TO THIS COUNTRY TILL JUST BEFORE WW1

Wow, even an off-topic comment about blacks in America! Once the Lizards get rolling, the bigotry just knows no bounds. (For cut & paste, i.e. to not end up at the IDF site, here's the URL:

Trust me, there are plenty more comments to turn one's stomach....but then that's true of every thread at LGF, so take your pick. This is just all the worse, mocking the closing of a school and impoverished Palestinian youths who have no reason to be fluent in English in the first place.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Charles Johnson and his swarm of little green jackholes, certainly well known for their passion for human diversity, just can't stop giggling when they manage to find a photo of a Palestinian student holding up a protest sign in English with bad spelling and grammar. It's also known that lizards like to rip on Palestinians (and Arabs in general) by deliberately referring to them as "Balestinian Beoble", as there is no letter "P" in Arabic. Interestingly enough, the photo links back to the symbol of state-of-the-art high quality journalism, "The Sun" (My condolences to our British readers for this paper).

Alrighty then, while any sensible person will know that sloppy language is no indication for sloppy mentality, least of all when it's not your mother's tongue, we should anyhow take this from another angle:

So Charles, how many foreign languages do YOU have at your disposal to start with? And how about you show us some of your mad Arabic skills while you're at it? Surely you'll do better than the boy in the photo, right? Also there are at least 10 Arabic letters that aren't available in English, and that are very hard to pronounce for any native English speaker. How many of them would you be able to pronounce correctly?

Spitting on their graves

4,000 young Americans die in Iraq, and all Charles Johnson can do is spew venom and hatred at those who mourn their deaths.

You would think that he might bring himself to say a few appropriate words about the fallen soldiers, not to mention the tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians who have died in this war.

But no. Johnson just can't do it. There's something inside that prevents him from acknowledging these deaths and asking himself whether they were really necessary for us to get where we are today.

The Truth about Charles Johnson

It's likely that at some point in the next 24 hours Charles Johnson will use his weblog littlegreenfootballs.com to condemn those who report that 4,000 US soldiers have now died in Iraq.

Why does Charles use human death as an opportunity to blast people whose job it is to report facts? Does he not believe in the First Amendment?

Why does Charles not seem to care about the losses America is taking? Does the life of a US soldier mean nothing to him?

Why does Charles belittle the genuine grief that strikes many Americans on hearing the news that another grim milestone has been reached? Doesn't he care for honest emotions and real patriotism?

There's really only one conclusion to be drawn from Charles Johnson's behaviour: He hates America.

A different angle

Charles Johnson and his ilk have a burning hatred for the mainstream journalists reporting from Iraq, yet he endlessly pilfers their work to feed his own little green media empire.

Here's a powerful multimedia report from one of the best news organizations in the world on what it's been like reporting from Iraq over the past five years. Warning: not for faint-hearted lizards!

The everlasting hypocrisy of Charles Johnson

We have to hand Charles the credit for going even lower every single time we think he just can't:

BBC Lies About Bush 'Claiming Victory'

We’ve seen time and again that the major Western news media are not above staging news (Like the St. Louis Mosque episode, right? - ed.), faking photographs and documents, ignoring important stories that don’t fit their agenda (Says WHO? THAT guy?? - ed.), and filing “articles” that are so biased they shouldn’t be accepted as opinion pieces(Again, says WHO? - ed.) . But there’s at least one news service that has established a pattern of blatantly lying to its readers—the British Broadcasting Corporation: The BBC accuses Bush of ‘claiming victory’ in Iraq again. He didn’t.

(...)

It goes on about how the title implies something different than what Bush has said, but let us remind our readership that this isn't the first time the lizard king has grappled with such 'misquotes'. Only last time, he was fighting for the inaccuracy.

An open question

As we've been having some lively debate on LGF Watch lately here's an open question (or two) for you folks:

What was the original objective of the Iraq war? And how does it fit into the wider War on Terror?

Let's go back to basics before we argue outcomes, eh?

The Iraq War: 5 Years Too Many

Comment is Free - The Iraq Legacy

The Independent - This is the war that started with lies, and continues with lie after lie after lie

The Guardian - What is the real death toll in Iraq?

NY Times - Baghdad, April 9, 2003: Fear, Euphoria and Hints of Things to Come

The Independent - Our legacy is a dark and forbidding place of militias

From the comfort of their homes

Charles is boiling in rage about a Daily Kos diary talking about how America needs to feel the damage inflicted on Iraq by getting "invaded" and "occupied".

It should be noted that LGF Watch doesn't support the idea that America should be invaded or occupied, however the reactions at the little green loony bin are just rich:

#12 looking closely
I hear Al Queda in Iraq is still looking for recruits.
Maybe this diarist ought to volunteer.

To address the thin gruel of his post, the Iraqis *WANT* the US military to be there. So why should we leave?
Actually, no. They don't.

re: #4 phoenixgirl

Mexico. It's already happening, The invasion, the war torn streets, the destruction of entire neighborhoods, ect.
Of course it's totally obvious that the destruction those darn mexicuns are causing all over America, even in a neighborhood near you, is legitimately comparable with the carpet-bombing of Iraqi cities during the invasion, in which a few tens of thousands have died, especially that loads of Mexicans are productive members of American society and taking up jobs that even the lizardoid army would refuse to do. Can I get a "Nuke Mexico!" now?

Can we start with Berkeley?

As far as I am concerned, anyone who wants Berkeley is welcome to it. Glad to hand it over. Might even pay somebody to take it. What a waste of oxygen that crew is. They spout enough hot air to be responsible for "global warming" all by themselves!
No comment needed.
#50 zmdavid
We need someone to come, kill all the violent terrorists in our country and rebuild our infrastructure at no cost to us?
I'm all for it.
Great, and I'm sure that the millions of Iraqi civilians who have lost innocent family members and are leading this kind of dandy life regard all of that as "no cost". Nice, eh?
#67 BeerDrinking_VictoryMonkey
We don't know what it's like to be in a war zone, prick? There were war zones in lower Manhattan, the Pentagon and over the skies of Pennsylvania on 9/11/01. Just don't question their patriotism.
/SPIT
Sure, 9/11 was bad enough, but comparing this one-time incident with a since-5-years-unresolved and ongoing conflict that has taken a few hundred-fold more lives and a much greater toll on the lives of the remaining population is a bit dishonest, no?
Now, in response to the Berkeley remark:
#77 samsgran1948
re: #30 galloping granny

But you need to make sure that the People's Republic of San Francisco is included with Berkeley.
.. and don't you dare call them racist!

And on and on it goes. It's not as if they were really opposed to the Iraq war either. Deskchair warrior-ism at its best!

How to get banned on LGF: episode #74756

A reader writers...

In today's LGF thread about the Obama video on last night's Fox news, I corrected Charles that one's tilting of the head is standard body language for listening intently. Charles seems to think otherwise. I made the mistake of calling him "Chuck" and my account was promptly blocked. [...] Chuck complains about HuffPo disabling comments, but can't stomach being called "Chuck". Hilarious....
As the same reader notes, it's fascinating how the lizard mind homes in on what it wants to see, to the exclusion of anything else however pertinent. From the same thread, an example of an avid Johnson pupil showing his master how well he's learned that little trick:
#59

jcm 3/15/08 9:15:05 am

Body Language Dictionary.
Head tilt: The head tilt is a come hither glance in the animal kingdom. From across the room, receiving the head tilt mean "Come closer to me"; if you're standing nearby already, the head tilt means "Come even closer."

He's client #7!

You can see where the wingnuts are heading with their Obama mania!

Another question from Chuckles

Charles asks the following question in the headline to one of his open threads.

Should America Have a President Who Associates with America-Haters?

I don't know Charles, what do you think?

....raises questions about U.S. policy, which has consistently supported the Saudi oil monarchy in spite of its refusal to cooperate with the United States in investigations of terrorist attacks against Americans.

Desperate Charlie can't read

As of now there are 13 14 threads on the Spitzer episode on LGF (Do you reckon Charles is desperate..?), this recent one being just silly:

We’ve pointed out at least six examples of mainstream news stories that fail to even mention the word “Democrat” in connection with Eliot Spitzer. It’s so widespread it’s almost laughable
Really? You sure about that Chuckie?

"Mr Spitzer, a prominent Democrat who campaigned for ethical leadership, said sorry to his family and the public." - BBC
Charles, again, if you have trouble reading, you might want to consider investing 10$ only to spare yourself the future embarrassments..

UPDATE:

Who's using the term 'democrat' in relation to Spitzer?

Reuters
New York Times
CBS News
Wall Street Journal
The Telegraph
Village Voice
Associated Press
San Francisco Chronicle
Toronto Star
Bloomberg
CNN
USA Today
Houston Chronicle
Baltimore Sun
Cincinnati Enquirer
International Herald Tribune
Washington Post
Globe and Mail

....and many, many more....

.....it's really amazing what stuff you can get when you type 'Spitzer' 'Democrat' into Google News.

Nice to see Charles thinks six examples could possibly equate to being 'widespread' given the amount of column inches devoted to this scandal.

Posted without comment

From McClatchy Newspapers

An exhaustive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion has found no evidence that Saddam Hussein’s regime had any operational links with Osama bin Laden’s al Qaida terrorist network.

The Pentagon-sponsored study, scheduled for release later this week, did confirm that Saddam’s regime provided some support to other terrorist groups, particularly in the Middle East, U.S. officials told McClatchy. However, his security services were directed primarily against Iraqi exiles, Shiite Muslims, Kurds and others he considered enemies of his regime.

Simple question, simple answer

LGFW is always happy to answer any little question Charles Johnson throws out on to the interweb. Here's his latest post attacking Juan Cole (not the first time by the way).

Anti-American professor Juan Cole has rather famously claimed that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was “misquoted” in his infamous “Israel must be wiped off the map” statement. Search Google for that phrase and you’ll find tons of lefty and Islamist web sites eagerly promoting Cole’s obfuscation.

So how will the malevolent Juan Cole and his useful idiot followers explain this?

Well Charles, where shall we begin?

1. You assert that Juan Cole claimed that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was 'misquoted'. You're correct he did, and as Juan can actually speak and read Farsi (he's translates works in Arabic too) I'd take his word above yours.

2. By implication you're claiming that Ahmadinejad wasn't misquoted even though anyone able to read English would be able to see that the poster you use as 'proof' attributes the quote to Imam Khomeini, not Ahmadinejad.

3. Here's Juan Cole's take on the translation of Ahmadinejad's speech.

The phrase he then used as I read it is "The Imam said that this regime occupying Jerusalem (een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods) must [vanish from] from the page of time (bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad)."

Ahmadinejad was not making a threat, he was quoting a saying of Khomeini and urging that pro-Palestinian activists in Iran not give up hope-- that the occupation of Jerusalem was no more a continued inevitability than had been the hegemony of the Shah's government.
4. So in answer to your question Charles, easily.

5. Charles Johnson calls Juan Cole malevolent. Bonus points for projection.

He's (update: really) desperate alright

Charles has frantically posted three (THREE!) consecutive four (Yep, three apparently wasn't enough) threads regarding the prostitution scandal of NY democrat governor Eliot Spitzer. This included no less than 9 updates and 1945 2359 comments (and counting) in all three four threads, as of this moment.

Well la dee da, Charles.

Fisty Takes A Drink (UPDATED BELOW)

SCENE: An apartment. Somewhere in Tennessee. Swaying over his laptop, Chuckie's most loyal lizard, "Iron Fist", pecks at the letters jumping around on the keyboard, between gulps of Aftershock and Colt 45...

Iron Fist 3/08/08 5:19:42 pm
OT, but for thise interedted
Could have been a dwi, I went diown to the tatto o parlor. Someone complained abiut my parking, Cops show up, start to be a dick. I'm polite, everyone is polite, I get drivrn home.
I'm not drunk, but it is better to play along, ridre home, and pick up the car in the morning. Works for me.

Being questioned by other lizards as to the wisdom of his plan, to get shit-faced and tattooed (and who knows what else?) and then to drive his hot PT Cruiser home, Fisty says:

Jihad WOO-HOO!!! Damn, what a fine fine fifteen minutes that would have been, Fisty's ride home, Southbound on the Northbound side of I-65, the green football freshly tattooed on his forehead... Damn those cops anyway:

Iron Fist 3/08/08 6:51:22 pm
re: #52 Cognito: Just curious: Did they do a breathalyzer, or other tests
No.
Simpli how the cop had a fit I wasn't drunk, but the cop would have deter mimed me as such. He gave me an out, and I took it, I get an inconvenience. Big deal. Ill go get my car tomorrow,
Cop gets to push around tattoo people. Big Deal

No, Mr Fist. Cops got to keep a drunken lunatic off the Nashville rush-hour streets. Your compatriot "lizards" at LGF seem to think your foolishness merely amusing. We here at LGF WATCH implore you to get help and stop drink-driving before you injure or kill someone.
Charles 3/08/08 5:57:51 pm
Um, Iron Fist? I think it may be time for you to obey your own rule. If you know what I'm sayin'.

Charles has nothing to say about Fist's drunken driving (clearly he was bombed when he parked the PT on the sidewalk), but is concerned about Iron Fist posting while drunk. Fist ripostes:

Iron Fist 3/08/08 6:09:58 pm
re: #126 Charles,
Im not to drunk to post, but to wilde to post.
Trying to retraign myself,

For some reason, the room is going round and round. Iron Fist squints into the Aftershock bottle. All gone. He types a last missive...
Iron Fist 3/08/08 6:34:28 pm
Dead I am the sky
watching angles cry
AS THEY SLOWLWY TURN
CONCURING THE WORM

...and topples slowly off his stool and crashes to the carpeted floor, where he lies drooling until dawn...

UPDATE:

There is some historical significance to Iron Fist's drunk-commenting: it has caused huge headaches for Charles in the past. Years ago, CJ was BFF with Evariste of Discarded Lies where some of the smarter lizards would hang out and sometimes say things there that would piss off the guns-n-flags lizards at LGF like Ol' Fisty. Anyway, let Evariste explain what happened when Fist got drunk one night and fell into the not-too-tender hands of a roving "Reptile Clean-Up Squad" and how it led to a terrible breach between CJ and Evariste, and an actual DE-LINKING by Charles!!!! (Thereby depriving LGF of it's think tank), a good thing, really.

Evariste, on his blog:
evariste
Sean, sorry this is so tediously long.

In roughly the order that events happened:

-Early in the history of this blog: We took a comment left by a "point of order" here and turned it into a guest post, because it was a good follow-up to another thread we'd done. The thread we did was an explanation of why we don't like to delete and ban commenters. Her post was from the perspective of someone often accused of being a troll. For context, "point of order" was known as "View From Ireland" on LGF and was very heavily disliked there.

-Immediately afterwards: Someone named justdanny who used to post here a lot threw a huge fit over what was apparently an act of treason in publishing point of order's post. He used to be a great friend of ours, from the beginning of this blog.

-Several months later: LGF was under a denial of service attack. We invited Charles to post on Bloggie and he accepted the invitation and treated it as LGF-in-exile. All the LGFers spent the day commenting here, then went home the next day once LGF was fixed. It was a hectic experience, but fun.

-Meanwhile, in Alternate Universe B, a character named Iron Fist from LGF, a bit of a blowhard who liked to brag about guns, strippers, and a predilection for violence, went over to some liberal website (George W Bush Will You Please Go Now, GWBWYPGN for short) to troll, and didn't get the experience he was reckoning for. Apparently some commenters there had been following his LGF career very carefully, and they exposed him as a liar based on some story he told on LGF about shooting his best friend dead.

-Weeks after that: Lawrence Schmerel, a harmless commenter on LGF who mostly posted weird jokes, came to Bloggie to complain about Iron Fist harassing him. Apparently, IF thought LS was the ringleader of the people at GWBWYPGN who exposed him, so he hounded him mercilessly every time he showed up at LGF. Everyone else who was sick of Iron Fist's shenanigans (including me) posted about it on that thread, and it turned into a huge long messy fight that dragged on for weeks. Iron Fist posted there under several assumed nicknames. Charles posted too, but not about the Iron Fist stuff, he was friendly and he just wanted to clarify that he was heterosexual (I'm not sure who brought this question up or why).

-Meanwhile in Alternate Universe C, Charles had been getting obsessive emails, for many months, from at least two people who hate us.

-Weeks later: we notice Charles has delinked us without saying a word to us about it, and post a thread pointing it out and asking why. I emailed Charles and he said it was because A. we published the hated VFI's post, and B. he didn't appreciate the Iron Fist thing.
Really, it's not surprising that Charles is a lot more scared of Fisty's drunken posting than concerned about him going on a drunk-driving adventure.

Charles Johnson's Obama Derangement Syndrome

Charles is really worried about Obama. Hillary, he can handle. There's plenty of ammo on Hillary: years of wingnut talkshow memes to be recycled endlessly over the next year, should she get the Democratic nomination. The Republicans stand a strong chance of winning against Hillary.

But Obama scares Charles. He scares Charles so much that Charles has to resort to desparate tactics to smear Obama every which way. It would be laughable, if it didn't indicate the level to which the wingnuts will stoop should Obama be nominated.

You see, CJ is remarkably bad at discussing real politics. Charles is a product of the soundbite age, when you snatch up one sentence - or one word - and hold it up as evidence of some horrible thought-crime. That's why Charles likes quoting people out of context, and it's also why he has taken to sniping at everybody around Obama (his wife, his foreign policy advisor, his grandma for chrissakes!) yet rarely directs his vitriol at Obama himself. Because Obama just isn't very good at producing those quotable quotes that wingnuts so love to tear to shreds.

And when it does look like there might be an opening to take a quick potshot at Obama, Charles Johnson can only do so by telling half the story. In effect, Charles lies to his readers about Obama.

Take the Farrakhan 'endorsement'. Charles made a big thing out of the fact that Obama didn't denounce Farrakhan, after the latter said he would support the senator's campaign.

Later, Charles grudgingly updated his post to note that Obama renounced Farrakhan "in a closed meeting with Jewish community leaders in Cleveland".

What Charles didn't tell his minions is what they could have seen and heard for themselves if they'd bothered to watch the televised Democratic debate in Cleveland. During the debate, Obama was repeatedly pressed on Farrakhan.

Obama's response was that he would "reject and denounce" Farrakhan's views and endorsement. How much more public and explicit can you get? Yet Charles doesn't report it. That's because Charles is in the business of lying to his readers, just as wingnuts are in the business of lying to the American people, to achieve his ends. Expect plenty more falsehoods from LGF in the months to come.

On shutting down comments

Charles is now sneering at the Huffington Post for closing their comments section on a post concerning Margaret Thatcher:

Margaret Thatcher was admitted to a hospital yesterday for observation, but she’s apparently fine and was released today.

At Arianna Huffington’s left-wing hate site, they had to close comments on their post about it, of course, because they know that a deluge of mean-spirited vitriol would ensue: Former British PM Thatcher in Hospital - The Huffington Post.
So what's wrong here? Even if we assume that mean-spirited vitriol would ensue (could it get worse than a certain blog we've all heard about?), common sense tells us that it's nothing short of wise to shut out the alleged onslaught of hatred.

This all is naturally very amusing, as LGF - certainly not notorious for being a major internet centre for willful collective stupidity - has seen many incidents of deletion-worthy comments appearing in droves. The lizard king has barely done anything to prevent all of that, and in some incidents even defended it tooth-and-nail against any action taken against it.

So Chuckie, if you want to remove a couple of the many reasons why LGF Watch exists, you might as well take Huffington Post as an example and follow suit.

LGF: America is mean. NOT!

Sometimes we get comments from our readers that are worth posting verbatim. Here's one from VN:

Michelle Obama is quoted calling America "downright mean". Do the indignant lizards respond with polite criticism? A rational discussion of her statement? Of course not. In a confusing attempt to refute her statement, they respond with hateful venom and insults.

#9 maddog: Don't like it? GTFO.

#12 antishock8: Keep that fat mouth yappin', Michelle.

#19 nyc redneck: think abt. that hateful angry witch as first lady. not a pretty picture.

#36 oingo boingo: Michele Obama is just downright moronic. MO, if you ain't like'n it here, then get the hell out. I'm sure that scuzbag running Venezuela can find something for you to do.

#52 rawmuse; Hey, Michelle, you can always move to Kenya. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

#61 blue eyed music lover: America is so mean that it lets people into Princeton University and Harvard Law School who aren't qualified, just because of the color of their skin.

#72 totally beserk: What an ignorant slut. Don't like America? Nobody's making you stay. She'll make a great First Lady...

#133 korla pundit: She can't be our First Lady, but she can be our First Tramp.

#146 bar: So the democratic choices are 1. Bitchy first lady 2. Bitchy president Its nice to know the democrats are so diverse.

#179 the shadow do: Anyone here have any doubts about who wears the pants at the Obama manse?

#189 russkillitlover: Speak for yourself, Beotch! You seem so disgusted with everything American. You really want to lead from a position of hate?

#209 Mandy Manners: Whiney-ass bitch.

#228 6pat6: Jeez, and this bitch wants to be the First Lady? ... Hey, Michelle...fuck off! How's THAT for "mean", hmmmm?

#236 Mandy Manners: Does that whiney-ass bitch still wear Maria Pinto?

#241 ergo sum: Yeah but Obamarosa gets to play the race card to excuse her contempable behavior and we have to bend over and take it. She sucks!

#250 Mandy Manners: I normally don't toss around the word "bitch" when refering to women but, I've decided to make an exception. Michelle Obama is a whiney-ass bitch. I might shorten it to "WAB."

#269 red satellite: I wonder how long the liberal-elite over at the NYT, WaPo...will put up with slang, ebonics, and colloquial diarrhea....

#274 6pat6: Michelle "I hate you white folk" Obama. Heard that one yesterday. Seems to fit her, IMO.

#373 Maximu§: Michelle, if you don't like America.....feel free to leave anytime.

#738 Joan Not of Arc: Wow, she's quite the philosopher. I'm sure Obama wishes he had a mute button for her mouth. I know I do.

#739 DockScience: I'd sure hate being a mirror at her house!

#741Wookieelips: Well, I think she's a downright grouchy, negative bitch.

#742 DanTheAmericanMan: If you are the woman who has captured the heart of Barack Hussein Obama, then God help us if he ever gets beyond that damn Senate seat he avoids using.

#759 SissyBlue: Ewwwwww, what a b*tch!

#767 rorschatch: I'd rather have Bill Clinton as a first lady than this bee-yotch.
See? Point proven! America is not mean.

The Third Thread for Tuesday's Primaries

Well, aside from Johnson's gamer-esque attempt at grammatic goofiness (think "Comic-Book-Guy" on The Simpsons--actually, right down to the hair...hmmm), Slightly Less Super Tuesday, Thread the Third, I noticed something earlier noted by The Sphinx. All Johnson adds to the post is one uncertain seeming sentence, "Hillary Clinton has won Ohio...", leaving his Lizards to do the obvious. For those unfamiliar with the obvious on LGF when it comes to this election, I am referring to hurling insults and racial epithets at Barack Obama.

This third thread on the subject has over 1,000 comments so far, none of them left by Charles. The fun really kicks off with the 52nd comment, left by "Chubby Vegan":

#52 chubby vegan 3/04/2008 8:09:47 pm PST

re: #41 lawhawk

Oh, and the NAACP might sue to get them seated - even though it would run counter to Obama's interests and help out the candidate who violated the rules - Hillary.

But, that is okay. Because Barak Obama is not Black. He is an Arab American.

I will keep typing that until my fingers bleed.

Unfortunately, there are enough non-"chubby vegan"s registered at LGF to leave enough comments to really give one the true measure of the blatant racism of the Lizards, which has only reached new heights with their hatred of Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Anyone still doubting the wretchedness of these people need only skim through these comments, or probably any of the election threads. Never have I seen such hatred directed at a man for having a Muslim father from Africa.

Sorry, that's not quite true. I have, at the LGF-spawned site Atlas Shrugs. On the TV program "60 Minutes" aired this past Sunday, several Ohio voters were gathered together to discuss the candidates. One man said that his vote for Obama would be a reluctant one. When asked why, he replied that he's heard too many rumors of Obama "being a Muslim", "not swearing on the Holy Bible" and "not knowing the words to our national anthem". When asked where these rumors came from in the same show, Sen. Obama replied that they were spawned from email and internet smear campaigns, and also added that using claims that anyone is a Muslim as a smear tactic is very offensive, especially (obviously) to Muslims. Well, here's that campaign in full "HUSSEIN" ranting swing, courtesy of Charles Johnson.

Charles Johnson: MSM Magpie

Here's one of his latest posts on the dreaded MSM.

Survey Says: 64% Believe Mainstream Media Are Out of Touch
Sat, Mar 1, 2008 at 5:46:46 pm PST

More Americans turning to Web for news.
Here's what the article actually states.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Nearly 70 percent of Americans believe traditional journalism is out of touch, and nearly half are turning to the Internet to get their news, according to a new survey.
Spot the difference?

Any normal person can.

The MSM is not exclusively 'traditional journalism'.

The people turning to the 'net' to get their news are turning to the same MSM that produces the paper based news. Even those who are turning to blogs are merely getting recycled Reuters, AP and others pieces.

For instance on the same day that Charles misread this piece about the media he produced eight blog posts. Two were open threads, one was a Shawn Colvin video, one was sourced from Reuters, one was sourced from Australian Associated Press, three were sourced from Associated Press and all via MSM sources.

So much for 'nu meeja'

Charles Johnson: Microsoft in the Mind

Here's a great example of all the bloody-minded bigotry and bile that wells up whenever Charles sets eyes on the word Europe. His hatred of Europeans - their ideas, their views, their actions - blinds him to such basic facts that he really makes a fool of himself:

The European Union is very jealous of Microsoft’s success: EU fines Microsoft record $1.3B.

That’s B as in Billion. Maybe the EU should put all that rarefied brainpower of theirs to work and write their own Intel-based operating system and GUI, instead of forcing Microsoft to give away trade secrets to second rate European companies.

Shudder. For one dark second, I imagined what an OS designed by the EU might look like. (link)

First of all it might be worth pointing out why we're talking billions: because the U.S. dollar has falled dramatically under the reign of George Bush II, so that $1.3bn is now the equivalent of 850 million Euros.

Second, it wasn't a European company that complained about Microsoft to the Commission. It was Sun Microsystems Inc., based in Silicon Valley, USA.

Third, as for Europeans writing their own operating systems, CJ might like to consider that one the most successful OS's of recent years is Linux, originally written by a Finn (with lots of input from all over the world, including the US).

Just goes to show that CJ is an idiot even when he's not complaining about Muslims.
