When did Islam become a race?

From the article...

"said those arrested are accused of beating three Palestinian students with fists, feet and brass knuckles while calling them "terrorists" and using racial slurs"

"When did Islam become a race

It's not. Neither is Judaism."

Wow, talk about a strawman... an anti-jooo strawman at that.

But the question remains, "where did these frat boys get their isnpiration?"

Just off the top of my head.

Try travelling as an infidel to an islamic land and see how much better you are treated..... better yet, ask the people in the WTC what they think of muslims.

I think you'll find that the original "when did Islam become a race?" was the strawman. No-one on LGFW claimed otherwise or did I miss that?

"Try travelling as an infidel to an islamic land"

That was the original statement. When did the Hassidic community get involved. The statement was clear, that the poster should try it not anyone else. As he pointed out the differences between Islamic countries he answered the question pretty well. But you had to move the goalposts eh?

"You're not actually trying to equate religious tolerance in the Middle East at large versus America are you?"

As far as I can see he/she is simply pointing out that 'Islamic lands' is such a vague description and the whole "go there and try it argument' so tired and intellectually redundant that he/she believes that the original poster is an idiot. I think that came accross pretty well.

"Islamic lands" are confusing when you telling somebody to 'go there and try travelling' when you're doing it on a blog and you don't know who the other person is. Perhaps you don't grasp the difference between countries like Morrocco and Iran or Turkey and Saudi Arabia but there is a huge difference and just using the 'go there and try it' argument is intellectually comparable to dribbling spit covered Cheetos on your keyboard.

That's fine, you have trouble understanding a laymen use of the term Islamic Lands. Elitist liberals often elevate terms above common sense.

Of course there is a difference between Arab countries - but that's not what we're talking about here is it?

The point being made is about religious tolerance - and the poster's thesis is that 'Islamic Lands' are no where as religiously tolerant as Western Civilization (let me exclude cuba so you don't confuse the term "Western")

sigh...
