Norman Kember kidnapped

British peace campaigner Norman Kember, along with three other Westerners, was kidnapped yesterday in Iraq.

Kember, the former secretary of the Baptist Peace Fellowship in the UK, was said to have traveled to Iraq as a representative of "several humanitarian organizations."

More about the Baptist Peace Fellowship here.

Now we just have to wait and see whether this results in an orgy of non-stop Baptist bashing among the right-wing élite, just as the Quakers were targeted during last month's "death party" slanderthon.

I am one of those right wing bloggers of which you speak. I also attended church with Norman Kember until the ripe old age of 2.

There are some right wingers who might rant and rave, but there are an awful lot who care about what happens to Norman and his colleagues. We will not be bashing Baptists.

Might want to have a word with these folks, then.

(Tip: don't use the words 'Blessed are the peacemakers.' They might get annoyed.)

There's not a whole lot of Christian charity on display at LGF either:

Until I see their heads beside the road, I'll believe it's a hoax. If I see their heads beside the road, I'll think of St.Pancake and sigh "Life is Good".
