Fahd away

The Angry Arab has the scoop on the political situation in Saudi Arabia, now that King Fahd has followed Terry Schiavo into the big intensive-care unit in the sky.

(Warning: no matter your political orientation, you'll be offended. The Angry Arab hates everybody.)

The following was forwarded to me with a request that I bring it to your attention. Apparently, the cartooinst whose work you appropriated here is not impressed with your use of his cartoon.

Thanks xxxxxxx,

I really don't like it when people fail to ask before posting my work

Would you do me a favour and publish the following comment? I tried signing in to do it myself but ran into technical difficulties. I'd really appreciate it:

This was drawn by Graeme MacKay, from The Hamilton Spectator, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Website http://www.mackaycartoons.net Firstly... I drew the cartoon following elections in Iraq where the shiite parties were poised to take power in the new national assembly. The cartoon was in reaction to the news that Shiite clerics were pushing for Islam to be enshrined in the new constitution. It didn't exactly go as the occupying forces had planned -- the idea of a secular constitution based on the American model of 1789. It's satire. How this can be construed as racist beats me. Secondly... if you're going to post stuff created by others show some common courtesy and credit the person/agency by linking back to the site where you got your info. That's all I ask.

If anyone has any questions they can email me at work.

Cheers,

Graeme MacKay

By the standards of LGF Watch-Electrical Jihad, the cartoon was racist, since Islam is a race, and the cartoon mocked the inability of Muslims to govern themselves like civilized people.

Pablo, why don't you do us the courtesy of telling us what you wrote in your email to MacKay?

Pablo said...

I didn't write him. As I said, what I posted was forwarded to me with the request that I post it here.

I can tell you that someone who doesn't approve of what you're doing here wrote him, but doesn't want to register here and post.

LMAO! Pablos vendetta continues! He really is obsessed with this website. What a psycho!

LOL! It wasn't even us who said it was racist! FFS Pablo, can't you even get this right?

What a racist cartoon. I thought LGF Watch-Electronic Hamas was a pro-Muslim site. Electronic Occupation

You should have forwarded the relevant section of that email onto Electronic Occupation. :)

Its this kind of behaviour which makes people think you're a child Pablo. Didn't you grow out of telling tales when you left school? Obviously not. What are you going to do for your next trick? Accuse us of stealing your lunch money?

LMAO!

Don't shoot the messenger, KKKids. Had I done so, I'd happily accept responsibility. I find it highly amusing, and there's really no reason for me to deny writing MacKay. Except that I didn't.

Do you really think I'm the only person who thinks you kids are less than cricket? Do you really think you're that popular?

Please. Don't flatter yourselves. And don't play the victims, either. Get over yourselves and apologize to the nice cartoonist. Then go forth and infringe copyrights no more.

"Hey, I don't like LGFwatch. What can I do about it. Hmmm tried spamming that didnt work, tried harassment that didn't work either, tried racial slurs, whoops! had to deny responsibility for that one. What next.... hmmmm.

I know! I'll email some random guy because LGFwatch used one of his cartoons! Hell yeah that'll show them!! They'll learn not to mess with Pablo! GRRR!! I'm a tough guy! GRRR!"

LOL! You weirdo!

You realize that you're here at LGF Watch. LGF Watch

Lets see.. am I at the blog where Pablo spends most of his empty lonely life? Yes, it looks like I am at LGFwatch Pablo.

You see the irony in your allegation, don't you?

Nope, because there is none.

Running a site which exposes the hatred of Charles Johnson and the lizards is one thing.

Spending most of your time spamming the comments section, harassing people, calling our Muslim commenter a "raghead" and telling tales to some random cartoonist is something quite different!

How many more times do I need to explain this obvious distinction before you get it?

We're a watch site. You're a psycho stalker. There is no similarity. :)

But... at least we keep you off the streets though, eh? We should get a regular salary from your local police force.

LGFwatch: We help to keep the Rhode Island race hate crime figures down by keeping Pablo indoors!

LMAO! This is coming from the same guy who asked me this yesterday...

"Have you ever tried actually debating facts, FGL, or is it just the ad hom you have to offer?"

(He means "ad hominem" btw, I guess he can't spell the second word.)

I've already ripped it out of him for being a complete hypocrite on the thread where he asked that.

I can't believe it. PABLO, of all people, is complaining about personal attacks!!!!!

Mr "Dumbcunt Bitches Koranimal Raghead" Pablo is complaining about personal attacks!!

Mr "Flood The Comments Section With Spam" Pablo is complaining about the way I'M conducting myself online!

Pablo, even with your tiny little pea brain, can you not see, do you not realise, how fucking hypocritical it is for you to attempt to take the moral highground on this issue?

Before you posted that comment, did it not occur to you that you are 10000x worse than ANYONE here when it comes to personal attacks?

As usual, he failed to address the issue of his hypocrisy. I doubt this thread will be any different.

Now that's curious. I'm afraid to ask what that's supposed to mean.

I don't blame you for being afraid to ask. Its a pretty simple thing to understand and asking for further clarification really does make you look like a dumbass. Nevertheless...

"Telling tales" is a reference to what some kids used to do when I was in school. You know what I mean. Theres always some little wanker in your class grassing people up for every tiny little thing they do wrong.

Misss! FGL said a swear word!
Misss! FGL didn't do his homework!
Mr Cartoonist! LGFwatch used one of your cartoons!

As always, Pablo never misses an opportunity to act like a child!

So there is. And if you don't do anything wrong, they'll just start making shit up. :-)

This place needs a spot of sunshine, an infusion of the truth. Ayaan Hirsi Ali delivers, as always. Thank me later.

The terrorists, and the Shari’a-based societies to which they aspire, have an entirely different philosophy. Humans are born to serve Allah through a series of obligations that are prescribed in an ancient body of writings. These edicts vary from rituals of birth and funeral rites to the most intimate details of human life; they descend to the point of absurdity in matters such as how to blow your nose, and with what foot to step into a toilet. Muslims, according to this philosophy, must kill those among them who leave the faith, and are required to be hostile to people of other religions and ways of life. This hostility requires them to murder innocent people and makes no distinction between civilians and the military. In Shari’a societies, women are made subordinate to men. They must be confined to their houses, beaten if found disobedient, forced into marriage and hidden behind the veil. The hands of thieves are cut off and capital punishment is performed in crowded public squares in front of cheering crowds. The terrorists seek to impose this way of life not only on Islamic countries, but, as Blair said, on western societies too.

At the core of this fundamental challenge to the west lies a pre-medieval figure to whom the London terrorists—along with all faithful Muslims in our modern world—look for guidance: Muhammad. All faithful Muslims believe that they must emulate this man, in principle and practical matters, under all circumstances. When trying to understand Islamic terrorism, most politicians and other commentators have avoided the core issue, which is Muhammad’s example. The west, before embarking on a battle of ideas, must attempt to understand this figure, and his presence in the daily lives and homes of faithful Muslims today.

It is apparent on reading the Koran and the traditional writings that Muhammad’s life not only provides rules for the daily lives of Muslims; it also demonstrates the means by which his values can be imposed. Muhammad himself constructed the House of Islam using military tactics that included mass killing, torture, targeted assassination, lying and the indiscriminate destruction of productive goods. This may be embarrassing to moderate Muslims, but the propaganda produced by modern terrorists constantly quotes Muhammad’s deeds and edicts to justify their actions and to call on other Muslims to support their cause.

I suppose you'd call her a Rabid Racist.

Listen, maybe you could connect Charles with Ali? I am sure she would really like the LGF gang! Because you exemplify her viewpoint and see things from such a multiple layered viewpoint!

Not.

You don't read well, do you? Why don't you email the gentleman and ask him what the deal is? I'll give you 2 clues, though. First, I've never communicated with him. Second, most people don't respond to spam with "Thanks, xxxx".

Think much?

Quoting someone = hiding behind them? What mind fucked planet do you come from?

Oh, wait. THIS is LGF Watch. We fling shit!

Winston Smith said...

"The myth of the 'moderate' Muslim"

So whom do you agree with more -- Robert Spencer, or Ayaan Hirsi Ali?

dawud al-gharib said...

Not Pablo: I don't agree with Spencer or Hirsi Ali, though at least she & Manji have legitimate enough sociological complaints against their family and the muslim community: whatever the content of what they actually say, at least there's some substance to their pleas for justice & redress of concerns.

That said, they're being cynically exploited by people who obviously couldn't care less about muslim women, muslim society, or muslims suffering anywhere. The simplest question to those who claim to care is: why did the West sit around Afghanistan (America pulled the Soviet Union into a 'Bear trap' as Zbig admitted, while 2 million Afghans died, 1 million of whom were women and children),
Iraq & Iran (America funded Saddam "to the hilt", even giving him chemical /biological weapons and the satellite info to accurately target Kurdish villages, while Israel sold Iran all the high-tech weapons and bombs it could use to kill Iraqis)?
Bosnia, where it took America nearly 3 years to finally care that people were dying?
Please see "A problem from Hell: America & Genocide"
Rwanda (christians on both sides, actually, but case in point about slaughter while the world watches on tv, wringing its' hands)...

Manji & Hirsi Ali both came from quite elite circumstances, wealthy and politically connected families (I knew Manji as a columnist & met her in Toronto on several occassions, as well as knowing her (Shi'a, Indians exiled from Uganda under Idi Amin) family...

both were political (and religious) radicals from early on, were traumatised by their family experiences (as well as being exiled) - however, they are both capable of knowing when they're being used, and should be aware of the right-wing (think of the sponsors of Manji's talks, or the way the Dutch anti-immigrant right-wing has latched on to Hirsi Ali's statements) fascination / repulsion with them.

It's amusing to note, too: the hypocrisy: if a Jew or Christian woman was to become a lesbian, write a tell-all book about how their family and faith community had wounded them and abandoned them entitled "The Problem with Christianity" or "The Problem with Judaism" (worse, "The Problem with Jews" reminds one of Theodor Herzl's infamous "The Jewish Problem", an early Zionist tract attempting to persuade European leaders that only sending Jews to - Uganda! - would solve their 'Jewish problem')...
well, they wouldn't be well received, and any muslim attempt to promote their books would be seen as officious and snide, not 'positive comments calling for reform'

That said, I reaffirm that there are positive sociological criticisms to be made of the muslim community, but to generalise about Islam and 1.2 billion muslims is not positive, nor is rehashing anti-Semitic arguments in a new form (the muslim as the 'new/old Jew', see www.masud.co.uk (Professor Tim Winters of Cambridge, as Abdul-Hakim Murad, wrote a good article on "Anti-Semitism in Europe and the rise of the 'New Right'"

as the old saying goes, the 'Religious Right' is neither: that goes for Jewish and Christian fundamentalism as well as their fascist, terrorist muslim counterparts.

and may God be Merciful with us all: 'I tremble for mankind when I consider that God is Just' (Thomas Jefferson)

LADUDE said...

dawud al-gharib,

I don't agree with Spencer or Hirsi Ali

But you agree she deserves to die for defaming Mohammed, right?

Chester said...

Let's see, I quote this strong, brave woman and instead of adressing anything she says (which by the standards of this pack of morons makes her a racist) you have no comment on that other than to call me a cunt.

Yes, Pablo, you are a cunt. there is no doubt about it. Please allow me to dissect the reasons why.

First off. When Charles cut and pasted the article you worshipped last night, I doubt that you cared to understand Ali's opinion to the full extent. You quickly cut some of the article and barfed it on this site as some way to discredit us. So shit flinging actually comes from LGF. Please read about Ali's life before you talk shit next time. I would help you out with it, but its more funny to watch you put your foot in your mouth on such a consistent basis.

Secondly. You would have much more credit if you actually led by example like Ali. you are a cunt because you point to someone who is an actual outspoken critic and hide behind her effort. Your tactics are cowardly trolling and name calling. Sweet. I am sure if this woman saw you in public she would punch you in the face for trying to be on her side.

Lastly. Go to hell, Pablo. any which one of them you choose. Your purpose in life is seriously worse than the purpose of a terrorist. Hatemongering and being combative for the sake of it speaks loads of your mental state.

Pablo said...

That said, they're being cynically exploited by people who obviously couldn't care less about muslim women, muslim society, or muslims suffering anywhere.

Who is exploiting them, dawud?

They both seem to me to be strong, independant women, both of whom live under death threats from their co-religionists.

Who is exploiting them, and how so?

From Spencer: " This is because, as I have said again and again, there are moderate Muslims, but Islam itself is not moderate."

He and Hirsi Ali do not substantially disagree. There is not a choice to be made between the 2 POV's.

Pablo said...

Yes, Pablo, you are a cunt.

More ad hominem! Yay. You're a troglodyte, only extra ignorant. I win!

First off. When Charles cut and pasted the article you worshipped last night, I doubt that you cared to understand Ali's opinion to the full extent.

You mean you pole vaulted to that conclusion with no regard for whether it was correct or not. My comments here, here, here, here and here disprove your idiotic assumption. I've been following her situation for some time. Since van Gogh's murder brought her to my attention, really.

Have you heard her speak? Have you fully understood her opinion? I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that you haven't. Feel free to prove me wrong, fool.

Secondly. You would have much more credit if you actually led by example like Ali. you are a cunt because you point to someone who is an actual outspoken critic and hide behind her effort.

Yeah, that's me. Trolling with facts. Trolling by asking questions that you gits refuse to answer. Trolling by responding to virtually all questions and criticism.

I am an outspoken critic of both islamism and LGF Watch. Them's the facts, sphincter. Deal with it.

Lastly. Go to hell, Pablo. any which one of them you choose. Your purpose in life is seriously worse than the purpose of a terrorist. Hatemongering and being combative for the sake of it speaks loads of your mental state.

Man, I wish I could post a mirror.

You've got nothing to say, Chester, yet here you are spewing bile. STFU, hypocrite.
